Colts D and Pats D aren't that far apart. Pats have a better Secondary (normally) and stop the run (erm, normally), Colts are able to rush the passer.

The Offense are the same. Manning and Brady. If anything Pats have more Receiving options and can run the ball which the Colts rarely do.

Edelman = Collie
Garcon > Tate
Gronk, Hernandez, Faulk, Crumpler, Taylor Price > Gonzalez and Santi.

Pats 4 RB's are probably equal in talent to the Colts 2 RB's when Addai is healthy.

The Colts and Pats are a wash really.

You'll see that when they play again this year, but this time not in the Colts dome where Manning is king.

2006 - AFCCG - I can't quite remember the score, but there was nothing in it. Pats were driving for a win as well.

There are differences between the 2 teams as well. Colts play in a dome. Pats play in windy, snowy, rainy Foxboro.

Dolphins could beat the Texans (except I don't think they're playing each other this year). Vontae Davis is capable of slowing Andre Johnson down. If they can stop the runs of Foster, they'd beat them.

Jets would kill the Titans.

Bills aren't that bad on defence and I think they'd give the Jags a close game.

But why are you still ranking us as the third team when we lead the division and just shat all over a team who reached the NFC title game last year? (It was only 14-10 because of a Ricky fumble on our own goal line.)

I'd take the Colts over the Pats, I'd call us and Houston even, I'd have the Jets over the Titans and the Bills and the Jags are much of a muchness.

Still, write us off at your peril.

I'm going to have to go with Paul and Ben on this one, I think the AFC East is the toughest division from what we have seen so far. The Jets, Pats and Dolphins can beat anyone on their day whereas I'd say probably only the Colts, maybe the Texans can do such a thing.

Just watching the Colts now actually, I'd hate to be the DC that goes against their no huddle, they made the first drive of the game look so easy.

In answer to Paul, we are talking about right now, Colts over the Pats, were you not watching the Jets game on Sunday night? Colts are at the top of the pile, Pats are in the group just below.

In answer to Ben, I still think Jets are the better team, Vikings aren't that great this season, Favre is not hot and they have no receivers. If you want you can swap Phins and Jets, Texans still beat the Phins and Jets beat the Titans. Still the South beats the East.

Anyway based on Fox Sports power rankings, with lowest points total being the best:

AFC East: 4+6+17+32 = 59
AFC South: 5+7+12+23 = 47
NFC East: 8+11+18+20 = 59

The whole division has to be strong though, Bills suck, the NFC BEast got it's name from 4 team at .500 or better

I wouldn't say the AFC East is strongest - they have 1 awful team and 3 average teams capable of good performances once in a while.

AFC South has the Colts who would beat all 4 in the East and I would back the Texans to out-perform the East, too or at least go 2-2 if they had to play all 4. The Titans run hot and cold (like the Jets have done the past 2 weeks and the Pats, too) and could easily split an E v S matchup 2-2. And then easily Bills are the worst of the 8.

I'd back the South in head to heads.

Last week, the Colts got raped by the Texans.

The Patriots rolled through Cincinnati who are a pretty damn good team.

There is no outright team this year, so far.

Yeah it was pretty good, although because it was the Stoolers it sucked!

Enjoyed the Hightower TD for the Cards in their trouncing ... and just loved the Dez Bryant TD just a shame about the result ...
