Quite. Getting very dull now.

I agree. It was mentioned yet again on Talksport at the weekend ... which was rather annoying. Any reference to the NFL seems to be greeted with '..thats the game that ruined Englands chances of qualifying for Euro08...'. Agree totally with your comments SE, couldn't have put it any better myself. The media really does annoy me most of the time ....

Talk of the Cowphins trading the first pick to Dallas for Marion Barber and two late first-rounders. Intriguing...

Strathclyde Eagle 29-01-2008 03:50 PM

Barber's a great player, not sure it is anything like our greatest need though if Ronnie Brown comes back healthy.

A fair bit of discussion on PTI last night about Jerry Jones and his alma mater, the University of Arkansas, where possible first pick Darren McFadden is from. A bit of questioning about whether Jones' judgement is being clouded because of that.

Jazman, where do you think the 'Boys biggest need is? The discussion seemed to be that secondary was a needed bolstering than a RB.

London set for Saints v Chargers

The NFL is set to announce that New Orleans will play San Diego at Wembley Stadium later this year.
The league is expected to confirm the October 26 contest on Friday in Phoenix ahead of the Super Bowl on Sunday.

They confirmed it this evening :lux:

There is also talk of a College game being played in Europe. I think the last one was the Irish v Boston College in Dublin.

My view is simply based on what I have seen this season. And to be honest, I think that it is quite difficult to pinpoint what went wrong in a season that promised so much. A lot of the talk has put the blame firmly at Romo's door, and to be fair, he does have to take his share of the blame as he clearly ended the season poorly. But, at the end of the day, it is a team game and it's a collective responsibility. I'm not going to be all clever here and suggest that I know all the positions on the field to be able to make a judgement on what we need, but I do have a concern with the news of Marion Barber (remarkable resenblence to the brilliant Emmit Smith) possibly going. Maybe we didn't use him as much as we should have this season which suggests that Romo's (and offensive coaches) play choices could have been a little floored.

Old article but very funny!

This is a very interesting article about Jerramy Stevens and his time at the University of Washington and the Seahawks.

There are 3 other articles in this link about blatant cover ups at the University of Washington and its football players.

Bills will play 8 regular season games in Tornto over the next 5 years. Effectively they are announcing their intention to relocate to Canada.

saxoneagle 31-01-2008 01:14 PM

Do you have a link to a story, Swiss?

Found this.

How the F**k can Bills current season ticket holders be THIRD choice for tickets to one of their own home matches?

Surely, they should get first refusal?

Money talks :(

Precisely Elliot, he is obviously a knob.

Been watching this series on Sky, think it's called America's Game. An hour on each superbowl winner.

Amazing documentarys, best television I have watched in ages

nookiebear 01-02-2008 04:24 PM

Looks like the Skins are going to a West Coast Offense

Ben, can you choose one of those on Madden? :)

America's Game rocks. My only criticism is that they rehashed mostly the same footage of the 72 & 73 Dolphins, skanking a bit on the footage.

There's a bit where they talk to Manny Fernandez (one of my favourite Dolphins) about Garo Yepremian and his shoddy attempt at a tackle against Washington. Always makes me laugh considering they were teammates!

elliott 01-02-2008 05:11 PM

Oh... And WCO is booooooooooooring.

It's all about the option offense, or the Air Coryell/Gibbs offense!

nookiebear 01-02-2008 05:56 PM

I think it would suit a mobile QB like Jason Campbell, if he can get more accurate on short passes
