And now we've gone for a kicker in the 4th round??? Right...

Transition tag on Akers spelling the end of his amazing career with the Eagles???

Sheesh.

Swanny32 30-04-2011 06:40 PM

Odd pick, although maybe jumping to conclusions that it'll be Akers out the door, apparently this kid is a very good punter as wel, so it could be Rocca out.

Swanny32 30-04-2011 06:46 PM

Had the in laws up all day, had enough, so I'm sat in the corner of our lounge at the dining table watching the draft with my headphones on.

More likely Akers than Rocca IMO.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 06:55 PM

Stanzi off the board now. Good pick by KC.

Swanny32 30-04-2011 06:58 PM

I'm surprised Stanzi stayed on the board this long mind you, the teams who need a QB are going to need someone better than him for an immediate impact, Stanzi has a couple of seasons before he'll be a starter anywhere IMO

Personally I think you're right, just saying though. Would be a real shame to lose Akers, always so reliable, didn't have his best season next year (Packers play off game :veryangry ) but he's still one of the best kickers in the NFL. Mind you, there are a lot of people raving about this Henery kid.

Goes to show the depth of the draft this year must be a bit poor for us to take a kicker in the 4th.

Or it was a reach after hearing someone else was interested maybe? I can't imagine he was seen as a 4th round talent on our draft board.

Swanny32 30-04-2011 07:13 PM

Possibly, but really kickers are easy enough to come by during the season, he must be pretty good. Doesn't matter, he's in green, I like him.

Marcus Cannon is a real solid pick for the Pats. Plays Inside or Out.

Other than the Cancer, he was a mid-2nd round pick.

Great value.

Agree. You reckon you'll look at anything resembling a pass rusher today?

Herzlich or Romeus hopefully.

Unless Bill has a Free Agent in mind.

Or Jermaine Cunningham makes a big jump in his 2nd year.

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 07:27 PM

Great pick by the Falcons. Rodgers is gonna be a good player.

LLCOOLSTEVE 30-04-2011 07:29 PM

Marcus Cannon has become my fav Pats (spit) player by way of playing at Oddessa High School, Friday Night Lights was an awesome Tv Series

pauldrulez 30-04-2011 07:30 PM

Going take a quick look at my Pats Draft Board and report back with my available Patriots on the board :)

Funk Butter 30-04-2011 07:31 PM

Falcons finally replace Norwood by drafting Jacquizz Rodgers in the 5th. Would have been a great pick, had they not traded away their 2nd and 4th rounders. I assume Arthur Blank is gonna hit that checkbook hard for some FAs, whenever they can sign. Kiwanuka, Charles Johnson or Ray Edwards maybe for some DE help?

SteveyHawking 30-04-2011 07:35 PM

A running back now? Interesting. If Mayock has him as a 3rd round pick I'm not unhappy about the Dion Lewis pick.

He's not a feature back for Philly, but he will be just fine as McCoy's backup. I mean, he broke Tony Dorsett's freshman rushing record at Pitt.

Here's what I have left from the website. I've had 3 of the 6 on the board so far, and Vereen was on the list for just missed.
