Why do i get the feeling that Paul isnt going to be able to sleep tonight.

Tossing and turning in his bed, fretting over different permetations and whether Gholston will get the team he deserves.

pauldrulez 25-04-2008 06:15 PM

I wont be sleeping for most the night as I will be up ready for a journey to Hull at 7. And since I dont sleep until 2/3 anyway then I will probably just sit there thinking of Vernon and his muscles :D

pauldrulez 25-04-2008 06:16 PM

And he wont be at the team he deserves because he should be the Number 1 pick, just like he is number 1 in my heart    :moo:

Paul's gone draft loopy.

Reading back through his predictions I think we can safely say that Vernon Gholston, Matt Ryan and Chris Long will all be selected somewhere in the first seven rounds of the 2008 draft by one of 32 teams, and that the Patriots will select one of the following positions with their first pick: QB, HB, FB, TE, WR, G, T, C, DE, DT, OLB, ILB, CB, SS, FS, K, P.

:)

pauldrulez 25-04-2008 09:20 PM

But what tackle is that. RT or LT. And Matt Ryan might slip all the way out of the draft. That would be quite funny if he sat there through two days and didnt get drafted :D

Thought that crossed my mind: we all know Jake Long is going number 1. What then happens if Dorsey goes to the Rams? The Falcons are then possibly left to choose between a new QB and a star from a university in Virginia. Either way the shadow of Michael Vick remains across the franchise. Ouch.

Leaving for Hull any minute now. Hope everyones teams get who they want. As with the F1 thread, if anyone sees someone trying to work 3G on their phone on the way back that would be me trying to watch the draft.

I can safely so it won't be a punter... we hardly use one :D

great article about pre draft tactics

Mike Lombardi was quite interesting on a podcast I listened to recently (although off with a few details he recalled, like the year Jerry Rice was drafted). He doesn't think there is any way the Chiefs can take Ryan if he's available at number 5.

Benzhiyi 26-04-2008 06:37 PM

Do you mean any way they can't take Ryan?

jlmatthews 26-04-2008 07:02 PM

I'm getting excited for the draft. One hour to go!!

Benzhiyi 26-04-2008 07:13 PM

Same here. I'm at the in-laws so will only be able to keep up to speed intermittently, but it's exciting anyway. Adam Shefter reckons the Rams are taking Chris Long at 2. That leaves the Falcons a good hour in which to finally decide on whether to take Matt Ryan...

Exciting stuff.

jlmatthews 26-04-2008 07:25 PM

I think Ryan will be a bust.

Apparently some Falcons people are calling for Dorsey, but I think they have to take a QB.

Chester 26-04-2008 08:04 PM

Im looking forward to hopefully the Jets taking another dodgy pick and seeing the look on their fans faces as seemingly happens every year

Chester 26-04-2008 08:17 PM
