Vince Hilaire's Afro 07-01-2013 11:21 PM

Seattle were about the best of the many teams I saw beat the Panthers this year.

And people were saying Pete Carroll wasn't up to being an NFL head coach the last few years. Seems to have done ok to me.

Of course best thing Seattle did was get rid of Olindo Mare. :o

Here's one for jazman.

A little bit of conflict between the sports teams of Dallas:

Stars 1 : 0 Cowturds

The Cowboys later apologised for the tweet "mistake".

The way things are going with everybody picking Seattle, the Falcons will be an underdog by the time the game kicks off.

Rob Ryan gets told to pack his bags by Jerry Jones.

Too bad the cameras weren't on him for that conversation! :D

:hi:

Cap space thoughts:
Presume Eagles have more wiggle room than it appears, if we dump the $15 million Vick is due without penalty.

Caroline really need to trade or ditch a couple of their RBs, eating up way too much space.

Colts can really go out and make a splash in FA if they want, they could be pretty good next year.

Are NOrleans so over because they basically have 2 defences this year because of the suspensions?

Where's all the Rams money gone? Presume if they trade away S-Jax that would free some money up.

Rob Ryan sacking:
Thought he actually ended up doing a pretty decent job despite having a few injuries. Guess it means Garrett is probably safe, unless its the start of a cull.

At last.
Not going to solve the Cowboy's problems though.

Just received my tickets for Saturday. Wish I had a bit more confidence in Kaepernick. Will definitely be an interesting game

oz_da II 09-01-2013 07:04 AM

Ouch!

Robert Griffin III out 6-8 months with complete ACL, LCL tears.
Not as bad as some early reports, I suppose...

pauldrulez 09-01-2013 07:55 AM

Oh, so he did tear his ACL...

JJ said boldly that there would be changes. Most of us thought that would just be the colour scheme in his office. Clearly, he means business this time.

I beleive that the RB coach has gone as well.

Not so much cap space but we will now be able to get another person on to a flight ;)

He has an option to void his contract and become an unrestricted free agent.

(Albeit at a cost of $7million!)

What the Hell does Washington do now? Play with their decent looking QB Cousins? Draft another QB (drastic I know but torn acl's can be career threatening) and plan in case, or sign a free agent QB to see them through the season?

Tough call... I imagine they'll want RG3 back so a FA will likely be the route they go either ahead of or backing up Cousins, but I'm sure it's a problem their GM could really have done without!

They clearly believe in Cousins, and Sexy Rexy (gulp) has been ingrained in the Shanahans' system for two years now.

Doubt you'll see them commit big money to a fourth QB even if Griffin misses the start of the season. (Dr James Andrews claims he's going to be ready.)

The Panthers can't really get rid of their RB's! They had a lot of bonus money, so it wouldn't really be cost-effective.

Likewise the Rams.

The best part of it all, is the Jets got bent over by both Revis and Sanchez, and are $20m over the cap. Brilliant GM'ing from Tannenbaum.
