Reggie Wayne reckons that the dance Ray Lewis did at the end of the wildcard game was "disrespectful"..........Reggie Wayne....you're a knob.

I second that Chris.

Interesting article about RG3's injury and his reach beyond the normal fan. I have to confess that while I do feel bad when somebody gets injured, I was really bummed when I saw that knee buckle and I knew he was in bad shape. Almost like it was a Falcons player. |

Although he was no world beater, it was a horrible season for the Panthers when Delhomme was out injured, with a dash of David Carr here, and big Vinnie Testeverde there. And again the other year, when we dragged some guy whose name I forget from his babysitting duties at home. |

Agree on the above thoughts, was gutting when Peyton went out for the year.
QB's don't last forever, and you want to see them every year, be it Brady, Manning, RG3, Brees or Rodgers. RG3 is one of the most exciting players in the NFL, it's just a shame that his mobility is hampered and his 2013 will be affected. |

On another note have tickets for Steelers/Vikings next season Yay |
Patriots are the only team to have brought all 22 opening day starters into Week 19 of the NFL Season. (Admittedly, the likes of Dennard, Talib and a few others are new starters while people like Chung rides the pine, and Arrington has moved to the slot)
They're getting healthy at the right time for once. |
I'm doing an NFL playoff pool type thing. We pick a lineup every week and get points just like fantasy. We're not allowed to pick the same player twice. Here was my Week 1 lineup:
QB - RG3 RB - Adrian Peterson RB - Arian Foster WR - AJ Green WR - Andre Johnson TE - J Finley DEF - Cincy PK - Shayne Graham Not bad. RG3 and Finley weren't good, but I'm in shouting distance from the top. Here's what I'm looking at for Week 2. QB - Tom Brady RB - Lynch RB - Frank Gore WR - Randall Cobb WR - Eric Decker TE - Aaron Hernandez DEF - New England PK - Gostkowski (or whoever the Seattle kicker is) I'm thinking of loading up on the NE guys this week and then the Denver guys next week. That way I can pick whoever comes out of the NFC in the Super Bowl and not be stuck having to put in Alex Smith or something for the Super Bowl. |
After a pretty bland weekend last week, I'm absolutely loving the match-ups for this round. Question for me is, if you could only watch one game (assuming you were neutral to all of them) which one would you watch?
I think you can make a pretty good case for all of them being fairly epic. Denver Baltimore matches one of the greatest offensive 'generals' against one of the greatest defensive ones ever and is probably what I'd pick. The teams are pretty similar talent wise in my opinion (if the Ravens show up) even though that talent is lower than the NFC match-ups. |
49ers Packers, no doubt. All set up to be a cracker, unless Kaepernick melts under the pressure.
Can't see the Ravens doing much against the Broncos. |
See, for some reason 49ers Pack doesnt excite me that much. I don't really see it as a tactical game, a genuine competition. To me it seems more like the Packers just try and fly down the field and the niners just try and smash the hell out of people. Therefore in this game, for it to be a good game these two things will have to cancel eachother out and everything else will just be a bit stale because it's not what they do.
I genuinely think that that game, not Patriots Texans, is the easiest to call. I think San Francisco are clear favourites. |
Rob Chudzinski has left his job as Panthers OC to become head coach of Cleveland. Norv Turner being mooted as a possible replacement.
