They already have been.

Looks like the Seahawks have given up this years 1st rounder and 7th rounder plus a 4th rounder next year for Percy Harvin, i'm not happy about this at all!

Sounds an awful lot to give up! But they obviously feel this is a priority position fix and this years draft isn't exactly rich in offensive talent.

pauldrulez 11-03-2013 06:34 PM

Like the deal. Except Minnesota have nobody at WR now

BLUE BOY 11-03-2013 08:08 PM

Just seems an awful lot to give up for someone who don't come across as a team player.

pauldrulez 11-03-2013 08:14 PM

San Fran trade for Boldin for a 6th.

Harbaugh - Harbaugh trade.

May have already lined a FA up. Jennings, for instance.

Fair point. Or Wallace?

Plus Tavon Austin is very much like Harvin, and the Vikes are now sat in prime position to get him.

As for Boldin...

Waiting for Flacco to moan about it, if he'd taken $3-4m less a year, he could've kept his receiver.

I can't wait for Harvin to complain about his contract day 1 of training camp, just read he wants the same deal that Calvin Johnson got. Also read that Revis wants his next contract to be $16M a year. Revis and Tebow go to the Jaguars, they have plenty of cap space.

AddiscombeEagle 11-03-2013 10:06 PM

Stunned by the news about Boldin but I guess that is the business.

Interesting seeing the likes of Torrey Smith and Vonta Leach reacting with the same level of shock as everyone else.

In the end though got to trust Ozzie Newsome though but I agree with Paul in that this puts a lot more pressure on Flacco.

pauldrulez 11-03-2013 11:01 PM

I think they were going to cut Boldin anyway, trading him anywhere makes sense, as BB would've been all over Boldin. The exact player the Patriots needed for Brady.

Looks like Chris Gamble will be retiring rather than entering free agency. Apparently he's taken care of himself financially to the point where he doesn't have to run the risk of any more injuries for one last payday.

Madden 25th cover vote. The fact that Ron Rivera is one of the choices is mind boggling.

I thought Boldin was going to leave the Ravens. Great addition for the Niners. They look strong for a good few years I think.

pauldrulez 12-03-2013 09:46 PM

Flacco re-signing going well...

Another free agent gone.

AddiscombeEagle 12-03-2013 09:53 PM

Getting worse.

Boldin, Kruger and now Ellerbe gone in 24 hours.

Great for the Dolphins. Ellerbe is class.

Funk Butter 12-03-2013 09:57 PM

I think people are seriously overrating Boldin. The radio talking heads are going on about him like Jerry Rice in his prime is back with the 49ers. He had a nice postseason, but his regular season was on par with Cecil Shorts, Justin Blackmon and Jeremy Kerley. He hasn't been a Top 20 WR since 2008. Yes, getting him for a late draft choice is good value. I think his move is worse for the Ravens more than good for the 49ers.

AddiscombeEagle 12-03-2013 09:59 PM

His overall figures might not be stand out but he always made the big play when needed. Big loss for the Ravens in my book.
