True, I can't argue with that.

However, when the media and NFL world had a go at NE for picking up Jake Ballard from waivers last year, it's for reasons like this.

I like Sudfeld the rookie to get playing time. He's had rave reviews.

Maybe Belichick trades the world for Larry Fitzgerald.... and then I woke up.

Someone needs to rescue big Larry. The thought of him teaming up with Brady....

He's a gangster.

RT @Trags Video captures Hernandez with gun in his hand heading to basement

He'll never see daylight again.

Everyone in college football knew they were a shambles. Meyer had a dreadful track record at Florida for that sort of shit, and it wasn't kept particularly quiet.

Hernandez was dreadfully behaved while at Florida, from day one.

I'm just gutted and disappointed.

He was my favourite player, a physical freak of a TE. The open field moves, the "making it rain" celebration, and he'd just signed a new contract and saying how great his life was and how thankful he was to the Patriots.

It actually makes me feel quite ill that someone I (insert better word than worshipped) could practically execute someone. I have very little interest in this season now

AddiscombeEagle 26-06-2013 10:56 PM

As repugnant as this story is, it shouldn't put you off the season. For every waster like Hernandez there are ten stories of NFL players giving back to their communities and inspirational to those less fortunate.

Yep.

But this really doesn't do the league or sport any favours whatsoever.

Funk Butter 26-06-2013 11:18 PM

Yep. Here in Atlanta is Brian Banks. Spent 5 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit but somehow came out of it with a positive attitude.

Made me laugh a bit.

Last player to tackle Aaron Hernandez on a reception....

Bernard Pollard

Spikes, Cunningham, Hernandez.

All 3 have been a problem in New England. All 3 drafted from Florida in 2010.

A bit like East Dillon Lions ....

;)

So, so true.

McCauley explained that Hernandez returned the Altima to a rental car agency, with the driver's-side mirror missing. A worker at rental agency discovered a shell casing under the driver's seat, next to a piece of Bubblicious gum. The shell casing and the gum were tossed into a garbage bin, where police later found them.
This boggles my mind. I would think under any circumstance that the rental car place would report a shell casing to police, but for a car they knew was under investigation is outrageous.

pauldrulez 27-06-2013 03:59 PM

Investigated for a separate double murder now...

Something I noticed (may have been mentioned elsewhere?)

Hernandez has a tattoo saying "blood" on his hand. It wasn't there a couple of years ago.

I actually think the man is involved in everything. Guns. Drugs. Gangs. Murders.

He thought he was untouchable.

pauldrulez 27-06-2013 11:00 PM

@AdamSchefter Boston PD located SUV w/RI plates it was looking for as identified in July 2012 homicide. Aaron Hernandez rented it.

I cheered him last season. I cheered a murderer.
