I'm waiting to watch the last episode of Season 4. Will download Season 5 to watch next week when I'm in London.

Saw some of that vid earlier, very funny. Anyone who's seen SNL in the USA will be familiar with Andy Samberg's Digital Shorts like Dick in a Box etc. I assume he was involved in this too?

Hard Knocks episode 1.

Emotional end, gutting to watch.

Oh dear...

Quote:

ALLEN PARK, Mich. — Packers game tape flashed across the big screen during a Lions defensive backs meeting this summer. Many of the men in the room had played at the stadium on the film, named after the founder of the 94-year-old Green Bay franchise. The corners and safeties got to talking about pro football’s most revered venue. Then a confused rookie piped up.

“Lambo? Like the car?”

The veterans were flabbergasted. Detroit’s second-round pick, Mississippi State corner Darius Slay, didn’t know what Lambeau Field was. He thought they were talking about a Lamborghini, the luxury car.

“I knew what a Lambo was, but I didn’t know it was Green Bay’s stadium. They said, ‘Man, that’s the stadium!’ I said, ‘Oh man . . .’ ”

If I were to have some bets this year, think I'd have some of these:

Cincinnati Bengals Division Finishing Position - 1st @ 3.25
Kansas City Chiefs To Make The Playoffs - Yes @ 4.75
Indianapolis Colts Regular Season Wins - Under 8.5 @ 1.95
New England Patriots To Make The Playoffs - No @ 10.0 (With everything going on there, how can I not take these odds)

Swanny32 13-08-2013 07:39 PM

I'm going to predict that one of those comes in....Bengals one.

pauldrulez 13-08-2013 08:27 PM

GOMF up...

FUNK!

Think the Colts one has a very good chance of coming through. With the exception of their Head Coach being diagnosed with Leukemia, everything went right for them last year. Think some natural regression takes place this year.

Quite a favourable schedule though.

Jackasses x 2
Raiders
@ Cardinals
Rams
@ Chargers
Titans x 2
Dolphins

Win most of those and steal a couple of wins from tougher teams and that's nine or ten wins. They've also improved their running game if Bradshaw can stay healthy.

Your argument just collapsed on itself.

Cardinals and Rams are no mugs! NFC West is the best division around right now. 3 years ago, it was the worst.

I didn't even see who he thought the Colts could beat, my eyes immediately zeroed in on "If Bradshaw can stay healthy". Time to play an unfortunate game:

Week 1 - vs Oakland (Win)
Week 2 - vs Miami (Win)
Week 3 - @ San Francisco (Loss)
Week 4 - @ Jacksonville (Win)
Week 5 - vs Seattle (Loss)
Week 6 - @ San Diego (Loss)
Week 7 - vs Denver (Loss)
Week 9 - @ Houston (Loss)
Week 10 - vs St. Louis (Win)
Week 11 - @ Tennessee (Loss)
Week 12 - @ Arizona (Loss)
Week 13 - vs Tennessee (Win)
Week 14 - @ Cincinnati (Loss)
Week 15 - vs Houston (Win)
Week 16 - @ Kansas City (Win)
Week 17 - vs Jacksonville (Win)

I think I'm being generous giving them wins against Miami, Houston and KC and they still only get to 8-8. They had a negative point differential, sack differential and turnover differential last year and still won 11 games somehow.

The Desert Birds have lost 11 of their last 12 games, losing 58-0 to the Seahawks and, even worse, losing 7-6 to the Jets. That's beyond mug territory, not sure Palmer or Arians can do enough to turn that around this season.

Agree about the Rams.

Reckon the Chargers will be awful again this season (probably worse).

Anyone interested in a competition?

Below are some suggested categories, and we'll see who gets the most right at the end of the season.
1. NFC East winner
2. NFC West
3. NFC South
4. NFC North
5. NFC Conference Champion
6. AFC East
7. AFC West
8. AFC South
9. AFC North
10. AFC Conference Champion
11. Top yardage QB
12. Top yardage RB
13. Top yardage WR
14. Most TD passes
15. Most rushing TDs
16. Most TD catches
17. Most Interceptions
18. Most tackles
19. Most sacks
20. Superbowl Champion
21. Worst record

Happy to add/take out categories but don't want to end up with too many more.

Yep, I'll get to this before the season starts.

Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson is 6-foot-6 and weighs more than 300 pounds. Johnson's wife, Chelsea, who just gave birth to a son, David, is 5-foot-11.

So it's safe to assume that little David will grow up to be big. Really big.

Johnson, the fourth overall pick of the 2013 NFL draft, tweeted a photo of the little (er, big) guy. And wait until you get a load of this kid's hands -- these things are oven mitts.

Watch those odds! I don't know if Pete Prisco has some insider information:

Ca I revise picks now with Brady injury? He's out. They are done. Finished. Over.
Quote:

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- There was a bit of a scare on Wednesday at New England Patriots camp, where quarterback Tom Brady went down and grabbed his left knee after an incomplete pass in 11-on-11 drills in a joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A fan's video appears to show a Bucs defensive lineman push Patriots offensive lineman Nate Solder into Brady's leg just after he threw the ball. Brady immediately went down and grabbed his leg.

After limping to the sideline under his own power, Brady missed one play before rejoining and completing the drill. Following the drill, Brady huddled with coach Bill Belichick, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and head trainer Jim Whalen and it was determined that Brady would not continue to practice.

He jogged off the field under his own power.

2 rookie categories (O and D POTY?) and maybe top rushing team and best defense (points, not yardage)

Makes it up to 25.
