Jerod Mayo out for the season.

I mean, really....
Offense: Gronk, Vereen, Connolly, Amendola.
Defense: Wilfork, Kelly, Mayo, Talib.

The injury bug is slightly taking the piss now. Especially with other players banged up.

Every team has injuries, the Seahawks had 3/5ths of there O line out for 3 weeks and have still managed to only lose 1 game, its all about depth.

Very few others have their 3 best defensive players out and their #1, #2 and #4 receivers (Gronk/Amendola/Vereen)!

More on the Texans:

Do you think defensive players practice their high-stepping before playing the Texans? Do they work on return blocking in practice? Draw straws to see who gets to score?
:D

The Falcons will most likely be missing their top 2 receivers, their top 2 running backs and their top 2 tackles on Sunday. Oh, and the backup tight end.

Our backup tightend is a murderer, beat that!

Who should the Eagles play at QB?? Saw this great stat yesterday which answers that question.

Mike Vick - 5 games, 71/132, 53.8% completion percentage. 5TD, 2INT, 3FUM, 2 L/FUM - QB Rating: 90.6

Nick Foles - 2 games, 41/61, 67.2% completion percentage, 6TD, hasn't turned the ball over once. - QB Rating: 127.9
Threw 4 times, completing 3 against Denver when Vick went out injured. Came in once in the Giants game so you could argue he's played 4 games but I don't think they count.

Chip Kelly....do the right thing please. Foles at QB, Barkley as backup and see if we can trade Vick away for a draft pick next year.

Latvian Eagle 17-10-2013 05:45 PM

I doubt anyone will touch Vick now.

Certainly not without a condom and 30 day supply of valtrex.

pauldrulez 17-10-2013 05:47 PM

Foles.

If he flops, you take one of the QB's next draft.

For the first time ever, I want the Patriots to take a QB, if he slides to the 2nd anyway... AJ McCarron. That's the guy to take over from Brady in 2-3 years when we trade him away!

Rob Ryan doing his best Kenny Powers impression:

Unless they have a cold ... ;)

Jay Ratliff released by the Cowboys. He wasn't healthy both physically and from a mind perspective, alledged to be causing issues in the dressing room too ...
I'm sure Jerry is just itching to sign someone to replace him now ...
Ware questionable for the game against Filly but bring them on all the same ... It's the battle of the NFC East ... not so beast anymore though

Absolution 18-10-2013 02:10 PM

If Percy Harvin comes back into this Seahawk's team & only makes one play a game, they'll win the Superbowl.

Interesting you should say that, I can see us doing what Washington did to get RGIII and trading away every pick we have for the next 2 years to get hold of Mariota out of Oregon, for obvious reasons. I'd welcome it too, providing we can cover our backsides on D with some free agents.

We're already too good to get an early enough pick to snap him up, should he impress this season....if he doesn't impress then look for Chip to pick him up in the first round should he fall to us.

Of course, if Foles continues as he is, then there will be no need for Mariota at all and we'll more than likely address our secondary.....probably with another Oregon player, Ifo Ekpre-Olomu who seems to be one of the top corners in the draft next year.

I don't think they have quite enough to get past Denver personally. Sure, they look decent on both sides of the ball but Peyton, surely, must get another ring this year. Denver look awesome.
