FOLES for the HOF... :clown: :clown: :clown:

What high-powered offenses have the Raiders faced?

Broncos, Colts.

Put it this way. Raiders are ranked 18th. Patriots are ranked 19th. In terms of yardage.

Raiders are 19th in PPG. Patriots are 8th.

Texans are 1 in yardage, 27 in PPG.

The Raiders D is not that good. Eyeball test, not the stat test.

Wow Paul .... You were right (sort of.....) :clown: :clown: :p

They are hoping he could be back within a week or two

Here's an interesting question.

What must life be like for someone like Matt Flynn this season?

He has already had spells at Oakland & Buffallo this season, and his name was being thrown about to be signing up for the Packers (Instead they've bumped up a QB from the practice squad).

His family (If he has one) must hate it!

StonePenge 06-11-2013 01:36 PM

Yes.will suggest a date shortly...

Although my previous comment regarding Foles for HOF was tongue in cheek as I was not a fan of him at the beginning of this season, it has made me wonder whether it could happen. He was brilliant, and as has been said, the Raiders D has been no push over this season. Everyone has to start somewhere, he's tied an NFL record with 7 TD passes, what's to say he couldn't go on to be the best QB in the NFL and one day make the HOF?? It's a long shot for sure, but the same thing was probably said about Brady, Brees, Manning, Rogers etc

Although I'm not for one minute saying that it will happen!

I would have thought watching some of his previous games would have tipped you off.

Everyone has flat games once in a while, he was shocking against the Cowboys but he's only in his second year so maybe the occasion got the better of him. He didn't turn the ball over though, which is something us Eagles fans haven't been able to say for a number of years as McNabb and Vick were both guilty of trying to force things when things weren't going their way on offence.

I just hope Kelly comes out sooner rather than later and announces where all the QB's stand, can't be all that settling for them not knowing who is going to be the starter from one week to the next, although I seriously doubt Vick will get much of a look in now for the remainder of the season. We need to stick with one guy, keep him healthy and see how we stand in preparation for free agency, the draft and next season.

For those following the NFL closely, why are the Vikes 1-7? (I mean besides because they lost 7 games, obviously.)

Swanny32 06-11-2013 04:24 PM

QB problems, not giving AP the ball enough, O line is shocking, questionable play calling.....the list is quite lengthy.

Blimey! Some of that must be depressingly familiar to long time Vikes fans. So is it all down to Coach Frazier?

Swanny32 06-11-2013 04:45 PM

I wouldn't say it's all down to him, they've struggled at QB this year...they must have to sign Freeman off waivers!

I have just booked tickets for the 49ers at Tampa on 15th December - hoping to see the Buc's first win of the Season ...

No chance! Bucks are AWFUL.

Their Head Coach has become one of the most disliked individuals in the NFL.

James 06-11-2013 05:15 PM

Did you see the game on Sunday? They should have beaten the highly rated (8-1) Seahawks at CenturyLink Field, having been 21-0 up late in the second quarter. It was an amazing game, lost in OT. I saw the game live on NFL Game Pass.

They are not universally awful. I have seen all their games this season and many were very narrow defeats. Having said that, I do not expect Schiano to keep his job.

Latvian Eagle 06-11-2013 05:15 PM

Buccs*

I watched some of that game and it was certainly the best I've seen the Bucs play this year (Glennon is a pretty decent QB to be fair), although I would say that the Seahawks have lost a bit of their mojo in the past few weeks, so not sure if that was down to the Bucs improving or the Seahawks playing poorly.

They were VERY poor the other week on TNF against Carolina.
