What a catch by Williams. Great comeback from Packers

"this has got to be one of the worst defeats for the Dallas Cowboys"
You couldn't make it up!

The Cowboys defense last 2 games (vs McCown/Flynn): 647 passing yards allowed, 8 TD's, 1 INT

Another Green Bay Packers franchise record for Flynn.

Equals the franchise record for largest comeback. :p

I actually experienced this in high school. We had a game to determine placing in the state playoffs. If we won, we'd have to play the #1 team in state at home in the first round and if we lost, we got a bye in the first round and spent the next couple of rounds going around to far redneck Georgia outposts. Didn't take the school long to figure this out and assume we were tanking it. We lost and nobody believed us when we said we were trying to win.

pauldrulez 16-12-2013 07:55 AM

Barring a Stafford apocalypse, I'm on my way to 5 Fantasy Championship games out of 8 :lux:

Back to 10-4 a piece in the NFC South. One more win and we are in the play offs. :lux:

Next week will be interesting as we host the Saints, then we finish up in Atlanta, whilst the Saints finish off against the Buccaneers so you have to say it is very much NO's to throw away.

Absolution 16-12-2013 10:36 AM

Wow, certainly didn't see the Vikings stepping up and beating the Eagles.

The fact Cassel steps up into the pocket has given Jennings the extra second to get open time after time. Ponder would have been scrambling long before.

Certainly more positive about next season, interested to see which direction they go in with the coach.

After the Vikes did us a massive favour we failed to capitalise. I say that, but we did look like we meant business and then capitulated. Seriously, heads have to roll once the season is over. Enough is enough. To think we still have a shot at the post season is laughable. I don't want us to get into the post season as we would simply be kidding ourselves. Throwing away a 23 point lead at home in the final quarter is absolutely terrible. I would be laughing at any other team doing that but I can't even raise a smile after staying up to watch that debacle last night. I'd have been the first one into the changing rooms after the game just like Dez Bryant.

Been looking at the play off picture; we should secure our WC spot next Monday as long as we beat the Falcons at the Stick (Which will be the Niners last ever game there), as the Cardinals have to go to Seattle on Sunday where, baring a miracle, they will loss and fall two games behind us with only one game to go.

The rest is very simple in the NFC; whoever wins the East and North are in; the rest are done. WC spots I think can only come from the South & West now.

Not to mention throwing a 23 point lead away at home in the final quarter to a quarter back not deemed good enough to start by Oakland and Buffalo...:D

We had an off night last night, looked good at times and terrible the rest of it, I don't think Chip Kelly will let that happen again over the next couple of weeks. I think our main problem was possibly setting up a game plan with AP in mind, as soon as he's out of the equation which wasn't confirmed until very late in the day, we didn't really have much of a game plan and didn't respect Cassel's arm enough. Stuggled to get any kind of pressure on him and when we did he eluded it and made some nice plays.

Our D was bad, end of. Everyone has an off game once in a while, let's just hope it's only the one and we can possibly wrap the division up next Sunday night against Da Bears and Jay "I'm back throwing picks" Cutler.

I feel for you Jaz. It must have been a nightmare from hell to watch that games as a Cowboy fan (as a non-Cowboy fan it was bloody brilliant :D)

Why did the Cowboys stop running the ball in the 2nd half? It was just unbelievable!

They don't know a good thing when they've got one, they want to put the game in Romo's hands and not Murray's.....idiots. Murray is one of the best backs in the league IMO (And that's coming from a massive Eagles fan), Romo, despite what some people might say, is NOT up to scratch and is not the person you want to rely on when the shit hits the fan. The best thing they could do is get shot of Romo, look for a new franchise QB (a certain A&M QB is in the draft this year) and in the mean time, get the ball in Murray's hands.

Funk Butter 16-12-2013 03:35 PM

I can't believe you people are complaining about your teams losing, that's so selfish. I had to sit thru another tense Falcons victory as the hope for a decent draft pick goes out the window.

Losing Murray to injury as we have very little else there since Dunbar got injured. Kid gloves, cotton wool the lot. Perhaps some of the blame could be being too conservative. We should have gone for them in my view. Romo hasn't been as bad as in previous years, he has been pretty reliable. But TWO games he has cost us the win. Broncos and Packers.

I have lost what little faith I had in Romo this season. But we have another six years of him. I really though we had a roster good enough to get us to the post season. Who was I kidding?

I watched the Tom Landry NFL programme the other night. Absolutely fantastic. When it started going sour for him, the owner at the time just could not get rid of him. he could not bring himself to sack him. So he sold the franchise to a new owner. Not the highest bidder but to a new owner that would sack Landry. Who was that new owner?

Yes, you guessed it. Jerry Jones.

Kevin Huber was a lock for the Pro Bowl. But the Bengals punter's tremendous year was cut short with a fractured jaw, suffered when he was blindsided by Steelers LB Terence Garvin. It sprung Antonio Brown for a touchdown, but it was a blatantly missed penalty that should have cost Pittsburgh the score.
