Bob McNair open to trading No. 1 pick
HOUSTON -- Houston Texans owner Bob McNair is open to trading out of the No. 1 overall selection in this year's NFL draft. "Maybe we'll trade down and still get a quarterback that can do the job and get an outstanding defensive player," McNair said Friday. "It's an exciting time. Everything's a moving target. Lot of different pieces." The Texans secured the top pick with a league-worst 2-14 record last season. They fired coach Gary Kubiak on Dec. 6 and officially announced the hiring of Bill O'Brien on Friday to be the franchise's third head coach. Houston needs a quarterback with the likely departure of veteran Matt Schaub and the struggles of young quarterback Case Keenum, who started eight games and didn't win any of them. This is the third time the Texans have had the No. 1 overall pick, and each time it has coincided with a new head coach. With their first No. 1 overall pick, the expansion Texans selected quarterback David Carr in 2002. With their second in 2006, the Texans took pass rusher Mario Williams. "The defensive player worked out better than the offensive player," McNair said with a chuckle. "That won't lock us into anything." |

Funny that I don't remember that 1996 game in KC, but I remember the AFC Championship in Cincy. What a horrible day that must have been for everyone there. Plus, having to play on frozen concrete with a little bit of 3rd degree burn inducing turf on top must have been the worst. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rP1jYbadsL...argers1982.jpg |

A Jamaal Charles injury was probably #1 on the list of things Andy Reid didn't want to happen.
Knile Davis isn't the worst replacement ever. |
what a huge loss if he is out of the game

For selfish purposes, I think the Patriots match up much better with the Colts than the Chiefs. |
not making much of a difference at moment, although maybe the Colts had focused so much on how to handle Charles that they are not confused on defense with him out the game
|
C'mon Chiefs, we need a better draft pick for T-Rich!
Woof Woof! |
Alex Smith is playing like Peyton Manning. Sensational stuff!

He's having a very good game.
Just never had much faith in him in clutch situations. |

And this is why the NFL is just awe inspiring.

That was the most insane game I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing.
'One of the greatest comebacks in post season history' - has there been any greater than that? Now, do I stay up to cheer on the Eagles? |
