Watching (enjoying :D) a lot of post game analysis and all have commented on how the Panthers lost their cool... not the 9ers. All mention it was chippy, but hey it's the play-offs. The Panthers came out really pumped up and were in the faces of the 9ers from the get-go, but they failed to control that aggression. Play-off naivety.
So really not sure what the 9ers did that got your goat so much. Other than win, that is.

Boldin acting like a fool, Harbaugh running on the field of play like a crying baby. Hilarious the officials still throw silly yellow flags even for that though. Looked as though the Niners had a plan to hit Cam hard.

Newton is a class QB. You'll be there or thereabouts next year, no fear.
Again, maybe play-off inexperience, but I did think Newton put himself on the line too often in the game - run the ball like that and you're gonna get hit! There were 3 or 4 carries when he could have slid but stayed up and took the hit.
Boldin? Well I saw it as him giving as much as he got. In the 1stQ the Panthers were giving it large to everyone, especially him. And Harbaugh? Well that's Harbaugh innit? What do you expect from a coach that wears cleats on the sideline?

He's just the poorer brother. ;)

Sad for the Chargers but if you don't turn up for half the game your gonna lose. Patriots Broncos is the Championship match many wanted to see I suppose.

To be honest, I thought it was your lot that started it all.

In the early stages of the game, every successful Panthers tackle/play seemed to be met with the primary player involved squaring up to a Niner as if to say "I got the better of you".

Sadly for Carolina, there aren't many worse teams to do this against, as this Niners team are as good as anyone when it comes to getting under the oppositions skin. The only team that can match us for this and maybe even be better at it is that lot we got to play on Sunday.

I think Sunday is a real big ask, especially with it being a night game. But we are the only team in the NFC (maybe the entire NFL) that is potentially capable of going into there and winning. But it would take an almighty effort.

And in regards to Jim Harbaugh; the man is bloody brilliant. I guess he is the coach that you all hate unless he is your coach.

San Diego covered the -8 by a point. Excellent!

I am off next Monday and I have the Monday after Super Bowl booked off. Seahawks vs Patriots would be an amazing game!

Any of the four potential match ups would be top draw to be honest.

Whichever one it is, it will be billed as the Old Master v The Young Apprentice.

The Old fashioned pocket passer vs. The New Breed of Quarterback.

Don't think Denver would be able to contain Kapernick/Gore or Wilson/Lynch.

Patriots would be a different game entirely.

The passing games are an interesting matchup in the AFC Championship game.

The Denver pass D without Chris Harris is pretty woeful. However, the Patriots have virtually nothing in the pass game!

Whereas, the Denver passing game is probably Manning's best set of Receivers he's ever had, and they're going up against the best Pats secondary I've seen (and looking elsewhere, people are comparing it to the days of Mike Haynes in the 70s).

If the Pats can run it and shorten the game, it's big. Matthews averaged 5 YPC on his 5 carries yesterday, you have to think, if he was healthy, that'd have been a game changer.

If the Pats can move the ball on the ground to set up the passing game then they have the edge. If they have to rely on the passing alone it will be tough. The pats Secondary is impressive. In fact the whole D looks good. Next year without the injuries it could be amazing.

If you took certain aspects out of all these four teams, you would literally have the perfect NFL team.

But all of them have strength's in different area's.

I'd take Denvers passing game ahead of the others just due to the number of options Peyton has available to him.

You have to take Seattles running game as the combination of Wilson & Lynch is just ridiculous. But you could argue that the Patriots have the best selection of running backs out of the four. And the Niners have the Kaepernick & Gore combo.

I think Denver comfortably has the weakest secondary, and Seattle's is comfortably the strongest. But as Paul has said, the Patriots isn't that far off. From a Niners perspective, thats probably the one area where we could be targeted.

Niners O line is immense and I wouldn't swap the Defensive front seven for any other out there.

Oh, and as for QB, I'd always take Brady ahead of Manning.

Collins is going to be a serious player. That performance Saturday night has been coming for a number of weeks.

Exciting times to be a Pats fan. When you think how young we are on defense and offense the next few years are going to be even more dominant in my opinion.

Agree about Collins, If Gronk can stay fit and we can add an athletic reciever then it could be an amazing team. As long as Brady keeps going that is.

Agreed although I like the look of both Dobson and Thompkins. They have both had fairly decent rookie seasons and with Dobson being 6'3 he has the potential to be a real deep threat. Injuries are a worry with both but thats life in the NFL.

This is Aaron Dobson right? The foot injury is quiet a blow. I just hope he'll be able to bounce again after this. [img]https://********.info/cat/10-3/1.gif[/img]
