In the AFC CG preview between myself and Swanny, the Patriots defeated the Broncos 27-17.

Manning threw 7 INT's. Playoff Manning arrived in Denver ;)

Swanny32 17-01-2014 06:27 PM

I thought the aim of the game was to throw it to the other team every time I took a snap. Should have benched him after the 3rd one probably would have made me play more conservatively.

If your team doesn't have enough bad guys:

According to a Broward Sheriff's Office arrest report, Bess was approached by Deputy Thomas O'Brien inside the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport terminal because he was ''acting irrationally, dancing, singing with his pants repeatedly falling down.''

''I inquired if he was all right and received no response,'' O'Brien said in the report, adding later that Bess ''appeared to be looking through me'' while they talked.

Bess, 28, then picked up a cup of hot coffee from a counter and squeezed it, ''which caused the cup to break with the liquid going all over my uniform,'' the deputy wrote. Bess then took up a ''fighting stance,'' and O'Brien said he hit the player on the leg with a baton to no effect.

''Bess proceeded to take off his shirt and once again took up a fighting stance refusing my repeated orders to get on the ground,'' O'Brien said, adding that Bess was finally taken into custody when backup officers arrived.
And another:

New York Jets tight end Kellen Winslow was arrested for alleged marijuana possession in a parking lot last November, but a newly released police report from the incident reveals that smoking weed may not have been the only thing Winslow was up to that day. He may have also been masturbating in his car.

This information comes to us from NJ.com's Dom Cosentino, who unearthed the East Hanover police incident report. In it, the witness who called the police on Winslow explains what she saw:

As she exited her vehicle, she commented to the male regarding how cold it was. As she stood near the open driver side window of the Escalade, she observed the males [sic] erect penis. She stated that she believed he was masturbating. [The woman] provided a written statement regarding her account.

The report states that when police arrived on the scene, Winslow's genitals were not exposed but that "two open containers of Vaseline" were visible on the car's center console. Gross. When police asked Winslow what he was doing, he told them he was just looking for Boston Market, which is our new favorite euphemism.

It was reported that the New York Jets’ Kellen Winslow Jr. got caught masturbaiting at a Target parking lot, but it seems like that’s not the case!

Initially, the New Jersey cops responded to a call from a 58-year-old woman about a man “pleasuring himself” with the window open at 5:30pm.

Apparently she tried to chat with the NFLer about the weather, then saw that he had a boner!!! That's when she made the call.

By the time the cops got there, they found two open Vaseline jars and synthetic weed which had the label “Mr. Happy” but no peen was in sight! The 30-year-old told the PoPo he got turned around while looking for a Boston Market.

Mr. Winslow was only arrested for having the drugs, which he said he uses to relax.

You can imagine how embarrassing this all was for Kellen, so his rep released a statement to clear it up:

"Kellen pulled over to a parking lot to smoke what he thought at the time was a legal substance. He changed his clothes in his vehicle as to not smell like smoke when he returned home. There was absolutely nothing inappropriate that took place and if there was police would have investigated further and charged Kellen which they did not. This will be the only time we will comment on this unfounded and ridiculous claim."

Reporter: Has there been any specific advice to the players to avoid the now-legal recreational marijuana in Denver?

Belichick: I think we know what the NFL policy is on that.

Reporter: Is there an NFL policy against what is legal there?

Belichick: I think that's something you ought to take up with the NFL.

Reporter: Well, you mentioned it.

Belichick: I think you have any more questions about it, you should talk to the league about it. They're the ones that have the policy.
I wonder if Denver will be the free-agent destination if the NFL lets players smoke weed where its legal.

Want to win obviously, but couldn't be prouder of the Patriots this year.

Belichick's best Coaching job barring the first Superbowl

Tense times. Hour and 20 to go, trying not to get my hopes up!

LLCOOLSTEVE 19-01-2014 06:43 PM

Surprised at the handicaps, thought Denver would be fav by a TD and Seattle/49ers would be more like Seattle -1.5

Pray tell, why?

LLCOOLSTEVE 19-01-2014 07:15 PM

Just feel Denver are the better team and at mile high.

Is Dobson playing?

Yes, but I don't think he plays much.

Collie will though. He's caught 8 passes, all in the 4th quarter, all in no huddle, all for 1st downs!

All this OMAHA stuff, I say the Pats have a plan. They used to shift the whole line just before the snap causing false starts. If Siliga/Jones/Vellano are capable of doing it without moving forward, I can see them do it a few times in this game. It's not been done much this year for obvious reasons.

pauldrulez 19-01-2014 07:48 PM

Nervous now!

davematt 19-01-2014 08:01 PM

Absolutely buzzing for this!

Two potentially EPIC games.

I'm ready!

davematt 19-01-2014 08:02 PM

I predicted a Denver v San Francisco Superbowl back in September, so keeping the faith with those two.

Each game could go either way though...

CT_Palace 19-01-2014 08:03 PM

Here we go!!!

CT_Palace 19-01-2014 08:05 PM

Both games too close to call... but if I'm pushed, it'll be Denver Seattle in 2 weeks a time.

pauldrulez 19-01-2014 08:36 PM

The amount of pick routes from both sides and they finally call one... Sod's law

pauldrulez 19-01-2014 08:45 PM

That wasn't a pick by Welker that has hurt Talib then? Bullshit
