You mean "New Jersey here we come!"

Firstly, congrats to Seattle. They are an oustanding football team and just about deserved it last night.

I feel we were harshly done by on some certain calls. The hit on the kicker should have resulted in a first down; instead, the officials missed it and it lead to the Lynch TD. This turned the game and gave Seattle all the momentum. And thankfully the piss poor decision after Bowman blew his knee it (He recovered the ball!) didn’t result in anything; that would have been incredibly harsh.

But Kaepernick needs to take some responsibility. His first pick was as easy as an interception as Kam Chancellor will get in his entire career. Poor play.

As for the final play, I have no idea why he didn’t take another time out to think about it. Yes, it was a great reach from Sherman but surely in this situation, you look to Boldin or Davis first or at least take time to think about it? Instead it was “I’m going to Crabtree i.e. like I tried in last years Super bowl”. He had two time outs left and had decided to call a play to go straight into the end zone; if he had handed it to Gore to pick up some yardage and then stop the clock, then fair enough, but to not stop it and just go for it? Not convinced that was a smart move.

Anyhow, whats done is done. Will start looking forward to the Super Bowl in next few days; not today though! Gutted!

My only current thought on the Super Bowl; I hope Peyton throws for 500+ whilst in the process pulls Richard Shermans pants down. The man is a complete twat.

davematt 20-01-2014 01:56 PM

Oh, and how many times did FOX want to show Bowman's injury? Bloody hell.

I saw it once and that was enough. They must have showed it in slow motion at least 10 times! :(

I like Sherman, yeah he is arrogant, but he has the skills to back it up plus I like a bit of personality, lot better than all the sanitised interviews we get in most sports these days. We all were looking forward to the game because the teams don't like each other, this confirmed it.

Great game, really enjoyed it, suffering a bit at work today though as am proper tired.

Can't understand why Kapernick tried to force it, he had plenty of time left on the clock and two timeouts, I thought it was going to be another couple of plays then a Boldin touchdown.

Any news come out yet on Bowmans injury?

I think he did take responsibility, was pretty clear about it after the game.

Still in a very good position going forward, he's still got developing to do but they've got a good chance to improve the team in the off-season.

Belichick wants disciplinary action against Wes Welker for the play that injured Aqib Talib...

Early reports last night were a torn ACL.

Crabtree, by all accounts, is the one who is the twat, and if you are going to run your mouth then expect to back it up.

If you read it is the strongest statement I have ever heard from Belichick regards to just about anything.

The local reporters are surprised by it!

Even I'm rooting for Manning!

Seems to be some element of truth to this, people may not like Sherman but when he talks he backs it up.

Thought it was a good game and think the 49ers got a few bad calls but then im sure every team gets bad calls, 49ers just happened to get them last night.

Now its just the small matter of Peyton Manning........at least we dont have to worry about him running from the pocket!

How do these players fit their helmets on with those braids like Sherman?

I bet at some point in the future, scientists will discover that having the braids will make you more likely to get a concussion. Or less likely. I never understood why players have braids that go down past their names on their jerseys.

I have no idea what Belichick is talking about. At worst, Welker was trying to block off Talib, but more than likely he was trying to get out of the way. The problem was that they both swerved the same way.
