Panthers drafted Pilares from Hawaii and another Pacific Islander in Lotuleilei, so I guess that might explain it to some extent

We were bloody awful for most of the first half. Olsen's TD right before the break done us a massive favour I think. :D

Panthers were sculpting a giant turd on the field in the first half, only to then put on a pair of rubber gloves, pick it up, and dump it on the heads of Cutler and co in the second, by which time they were busy curling out a big one of their own.

Out-Garretting Jason Garrett.

4&1 at a stage in the season which I did not expect. It is arguably a fact that we have only really played the 49ers of note (considering the Saints are not who they once were) so Seattle next week will be a massive test. We seem to have the weapons at Romo's disposal right now and while it was a tight OT win over the Texans we managed to dig out a win after trying desperately to lose it in the 4th quarter. The battle of Texas has been won but it remains to be seen whether we have real credentials to be contenders. After Seattle we take on the Giants and Redskins so it will be interesting to see if we hold on to the 2nd best record in the NFC after those three games.

Yesterday, Peyton Manning threw four touchdown passes against Arizona. In the process, he joined Brett Favre as the only players in NFL history to throw 500 career touchdown passes. In previewing that game, Mike Tanier noted that it would require us to travel back to 1987 to collect 500 Cardinals touchdown throws.

Naturally, that made me wonder how far back we would have to go to calculate the last 500 touchdown passes for each franchise. The four most recent expansion franchises — Houston, Jacksonville, Carolina, and Baltimore — have yet to throw even 400 touchdown passes. For Manning, of course, he’s thrown 500 passes beginning in the 1998 season. That’s better than any franchise in the NFL; the closest team would be the Packers. To count 500 Green Bay touchdown throws, you would need to start on November 23, 1997. Beginning on that date, Favre would throw another 269 touchdowns for the Packers, Aaron Rodgers would chip in with 200, and a handful of other Green Bay players would combine for 31 scoring throws.

Interesting document, shame its about the Cowboys though :)

Only watched first half of Colts Texans condensed, but that was a fun game to watch. Andrew Luck is so very very good and JJ Watt is just a monster, those two guys are going to be 1st year Hall of Famers no doubt.

Buccaneers contriving to look worse than when they conceded 56 points.

Unbelievable

James 12-10-2014 06:54 PM

Buying Season passes for the Bucs this year is probably the worst investment I have ever made. They look truly pathetic.

pauldrulez 12-10-2014 07:10 PM

More and more injuries across the NFL.

Pats lose Mayo and best lineman Connolly within 2 snaps.

Browns have lost Alex Mack as well.

Really James? I didn't think you were being serious.

I'm surprised they look this poor, I thought Lovie Smith would have them moving in the right direction.......obviously not!

Oh yes.

I will be able to attend three games this year - the rest I put up for sale on the NFL ticket exchange. I sold the tickets for the first game against the Panthers at face. The tickets for the game against the Rams didn't sell at all - and the tickets for today's game sold at a slight premium immediately after the road win v the Steelers.

However, after today's woeful display, I very much doubt that I will be able to sell the next couple of games. The problem is that you are not allowed to sell at less than face value (although you can sell for more if there are any takers) .... I don't think I will be renewing!

Brady 11/19, poor
