Don't say that, you'll give me confidence :(

Hoping to see Leinart vs Cassel ;)

I'll still bet on the Pats losing. It's working so far.

LLCOOLSTEVE 08-12-2008 11:54 PM

Steelers will win the Superbowl

last time i predicted they would win it they went all the way! :)

AddiscombeEagle 09-12-2008 10:22 AM

Massive game for the Steelers on Sunday night.

Reckon it is going to be a low scoring affair as both the Steelers and ourselves have offences that are spluttering somewhat and top defenses.

Two quick points:

Latvian Eagle 09-12-2008 12:21 PM

A win for us! :lux: And the reason why! The running game! I said all last year we needed to get rid of DeShaun Foster and give DeAngelo Williams more game time!

saxoneagle 09-12-2008 12:27 PM

OK, three weeks to go...

In the AFC East next week, the Pats, Phins and Jets will all win.

In week 16, Phins will beat KC, Jets will lose on the west coast and the Pats will win against the Cards.

In week 17, the Jets will beat the Phins and NE will win in Buffalo.

NE 11-5
Jets 10-6
Miami 10-6

However, I'm always wrong so I'm actually going to predict 3 Pats losses and an 8-8 record... :D

Latvian Eagle 09-12-2008 12:28 PM

Hope the Ravens make the Play offs but everyone keeps saying they won't as a result of the AFC East being so strong and having an easier schedule.

I'm looking forward to the Ravens / Steelers game on Sunday!

Also, Carolina now has the #1 seed in their own destiny, with a trip to NYG in week 16.

Having not lost at home yet, that could be huge for a Panthers title charge. However, after hosting Denver, they play NYG and the Saints on the road, in a divisional matchup where the home team has dominated in all divisional games this year.

Latvian Eagle 09-12-2008 12:40 PM

Yes we are 7-0 at home now!!! 3-3 on the road. If we beat Denver and then the Giants (supposing the G's win this weekend too) we'd go above them. I think we might just give them a game. I do still worry about our secondary though, although the D was a lot better last night. Beason, Marshall etc stepping up when needed.

The reason why we're better... Jake Delhomme! 4-1 when he went down last year with the elbow injury to end up 7-9! Saying that if we'd put Matt Moore in sooner instead of playing David Carr and Vinny Testaverde I think we might have had at least a 9-7 season!

Latvian Eagle 09-12-2008 12:41 PM

Oh and not forgetting Steve Smith was a lot more involved last night than I have seen him recently!

Not sure about next week against the 49ers. As I said a few weeks ago I wish they had postponed the appointment of Singletary, which has rejuvenated the team.

As for winning in KC, I can't remember the Fins ever winning at Arrowhead. Can't find anything on Google either. I certainly remember us losing there in 1991 when Sammie Smith lost games in consecutive weeks on goalline fumbles (we lost that game by a large margin, but we would have taken the lead if Smith took the ball with him into the end zone).

Latvian Eagle 09-12-2008 12:57 PM

Was just looking at our past records against the Broncos, Giants, and Saints.

Denver 0-2
NY Giants 3-1 (1-0 in Play offs too)
New Orleans 15-12.

Chief Brody 09-12-2008 01:10 PM

Calling all Miami fins.

What do you think of your prospects against the scarlet 'n gold this w/e? My niners have magnificently underachieved for years now, but hopefully, please god, there may be the twinkling of a turnaround now Singletary has taken over.

Luckily for you chaps, Gore is questionable as I am sure he would want to perform being a former Hurricane. The OL is showing glimpses of quality, Shaun Hill (our nobody at QB) is 5-2 as a starter and we finally have three, let alone one wideouts (which we have barely had for several years now) who can damage teams.

The D is talented and has also underachieved on too many occasions. A D with Justin Smith, Patrick Willis, Takeo Spikes, Michael Lewis and Nate Clements should be dominating 75% of the opposition.

I really am not sure what the outcome will be. We could have a two TD defeat, or just as likely, beat you by a score. I will have to rest with a pessimistic 10 point defeat.

The 49ers have to come to Miami. Vice versa and I'd have said a loss.

KC are sh*t - if you haven't ever won at Arrowhead, now is a good a chance as any.

If you bottle either of those two then you don't deserve the final shot at the Jets to make the play-offs. Similarly, anything but 3 Pats wins from here is unacceptable given the opposition.

AddiscombeEagle 09-12-2008 02:12 PM

Let's cancel the week, I want the weekend now to see some of these games.

As for the Ravens, going to have to beat the Steelers then hope Romo plays as bad as he did on Sunday. If he does I think Reed will come away with about three picks.

saxoneagle 09-12-2008 02:15 PM

I think the Ravens will win.

My thoughts entirely (and seriously).

I still wouldnt be surprised if we ••••ed up one of them. Weve ridden our luck a bit this year and are due to blow it against a shit team before the end of the year.

I hope not cos I like the way were playing, but similar to Palace, youd be mad to assume that they will beat the crap teams.

And my apostrophe button is broken. My apologies!

Latvian Eagle 09-12-2008 02:47 PM

What's happened to the Texans?

They looked like deadwood early doors but now they have a fairly respectable looking record this season.

Benzhiyi 09-12-2008 03:06 PM

No matter how shit their team is, Arrowhead is a hard place to go win. I think they'll turn us over.
