Come on Pittsburgh (sorry Latvian but we need to catch you)

zonin2000 14-12-2008 11:04 PM

Off topic re: tonight's games, but what are my chances of getting a ticket for Pats - Bucs at Wembley next year? Does everybody who applies early enough get one, is there any kind of loyalty reward or what?

Benzhiyi 14-12-2008 11:53 PM

Wait, according to NFL.com the Phins are top of the AFC East!

How and why?

Not really me as I'm a Panthers fan! :p But I do hope Baltimore make the Post season. I can see them upsetting a few people.

Probably alphabetical at this stage.

Jets hold the lead by the narrowest of margins but really it all comes down to that last game, unless the Pats win next week and both Miami and Jets lose.

If you look at the 2002 regular season stats (I noticed this when looking 20 mins ago,) the Jets won that division yet are shown in 2nd place!!

Grim Reaper 15-12-2008 12:39 AM

Just listened to the Pittsburgh win. Won with a TD with longest drive the Ravens allowed all season. Quality stuff.

pauldrulez 15-12-2008 12:39 AM

I forgot that its AddiscombeEagle who supports them and you want the shirt ;)

I like the Ravens and the Falcons, although I am now hoping the Ravens don't make the playoffs as its another opening for the Patriots who if we win out are guaranteed at least 2nd with the Jets and Miami play each other (hoping for a tie).
With Baltimore playing Dallas next week, I'm hoping for a loss there as well. That way 2 AFC East teams can get through. But we still need to win out.

But, just What the •••• was the Bills and J.P Lostman doing? 2 minutes left. 2nd and 5, you have had success running the ball, so you roll out to pass and end up fumbling straight to them.

Well done, very clever. :lux:

At one point everything was looking up roses. With the Jets losing, Niners driving quickly at the Phins and the Colts losing we could have made a game up on all.

At least the late results went well with the Cards having to travel out to New England to face our running game that got nearly 300 yards between the 4 (including Cassel).

Cassel done his Dad proud, if Ben "stonehands" Watson didnt knock the ball into the defenders hands for the INT, he would have had a QB rating of 156.71. All-but perfect. A lot of proud Patriots tonight.

And the ex-Raiders had big games as Moss always does and Jordan finally came good after his injury. Mosses celebrations pissed off the guy in the :vader: mask and Jordan bowed to the fans giving him abuse 10 feet away when he scored.

Best of all, 10 Touchdowns. And no Field Goals. The game had everything bar a Defensive TD. Fumbles, INTs, blocked PATs, Russell dropping 2 passes from Bush. At one point in this game, there were more TDs than there were points in the Baltimore game.

jj62255 15-12-2008 12:45 AM

Phew, another close game, I was sure they would have called that TD short. We can't keep doing that every week. I would have loved to see what Tomlin would have done if it was called short though, go for it or kick a field goal.

Still some pretty horrible offensive play throughout from both teams, but I guess thats understandable when you look at the defenses.

We could really use a good fullback to block for the RBs, 63 yards for them are simply not good enough. Good to see Ward get over 100 yards though, but Holmes was pretty shocking tonight apart from the last drive.

But, we're still winning games so can't really complain :lux:

pauldrulez 15-12-2008 12:49 AM

Ignore the passer rating bit, I entered it wrong (doh)

Latvian Eagle 15-12-2008 12:56 AM

I'm still not 100% on the Steelers TD. My initial reaction I have to admit was Touchdown but having seen the replays I wasn't totally sure! Baltimore with it all to do.

A bit of breathing space for the Panthers now! 11-3, Buccs and Falcons both on 9-5 so worst that can happen is we all finish level on points. We go to the Giants and then New Orleans. Unfortunately I can't bring myself to wish a loss on the Giants tonight as 1. I quite like them too, and 2. I hate the Cowboys and TO!

Giants finish up at Minnesota in week 17! Tavaris Jackson finally showing some potential!

I loath Baltimore. They are the MK Wimbledon's of the NFL. What the owner tried doing to the Cleveland Browns was well out of order. I've never come across an NFL fan in the States that has much respect for the Ravens (though I haven't been to Cinncy.)

And the only time they could have done something decent theY ••••• lose to the Giants in the Superbowl.

Nasty team that play boring 'football.'

:love:GO COWBOYS!!

:p

LOL. They reviewed the play and still thought it was a TD. No way man. I think the NFL has a soft spot for the Pats. :D

Still never mind that a bad call went against Baltimore. :p

You seem a pretty lame team to me. Riding a lot of luck. The conditions helped you out big time last week.

A lucky win tonight but well done for beating the Baltimore Browns.

The Ravens won the Superbowl?!

sLlll 15-12-2008 01:38 AM

Sorry, pissed. I meant the only time I wanted the Giants to win they couldn't do the decent thing and lose to the Giants.

Winning the SB hurt me more :(

Back on jerseys. Does anyone have an Authentic one? Are they majorly different to the Replica ones? They look a lot more like soccer jerseys in material.

The one thing that has put me off other than the price is the sizing. I think they only do them in what would work out to about XL and XXL!?

Most of mine are uathentic.

They are heavier matuerial and have stitched numbersd. They are much more rigid, but feel a lot nicer. I'd get them cos threy are about they same price.

Go Fuish!!!!

Go Sabres!!!

We're the Pride of Shreffield!!!

Latvian Eagle 15-12-2008 02:23 AM

The replicas are like $75-100, the Authentics are like $250...

They do look nicer though. I have a pair of Authentic Orlando Magic player shorts from last season. A much nicer material and feel than the Swingman jersey I got.

Define lame? I dunno about luck, every team has it's share of luck, granted it's been in the Steelers favour the last couple of weeks, but not really so at the start of the season with tons of injuries. And that last 92 yard drive, as well as the defensive effort all night, had absolutely nothing to do with luck.

Too bad Romo choked when he could'nt handle the pressure and the cold weather last week.

My 49ers Alex Smith shirt is authentic. I got it on sale from kitbag.com for ten quid! :D Probably not worth anything close to that!
