I see they've left the big game of the weekend to the last

come on you EAGLES :lux: :lux: :lux:

Strathclyde Eagle 04-01-2009 09:00 PM

Picked a bad game to have a stinker. Still proud though. :)

Congrats Addiscombe and enjoy round 2 in Tennessee, think you've got every chance there if you play the way you did today. :p

Time for a number of you to jump in line for a healthy helping of humble pie. Don't count anything out. Crazier things have happened.

Good call Paul. :p

Not that it really mattered, but the guy flew round the corner at such speed that I thought "He must have jumped offside." They didn't show any kind of replay that would have shown that one way or another though.

And Ed Reed was exceptional. Better teams than us have come a cropper against that D before and another one might next week in Nashville.

You Dolphins fans shouldn't be too upset. I doubt many of you felt really confident that you'd even be in the position you were today. Your team fought hard all season. Great turnaround and hopefully for you guys it continues :p

Yup. They've got a very genuine chance of going all the way.

That botched hand off to Ginn really was the final nail for Miami. The past 2 drives had been really promising, and on the verge of the redzone, if the hand-off had worked, they would be very close to scoring, making it a 3(or4) point game.

Still, no complaints. Baltimore looked very impressive, Miami's weaknesses were really highlighted.

Still a great season...

Must admit as well that in the past two weeks I've looked out a bit for the "Ginn is soft" argument, and he does seem to like to avoid contact.

Bess though was a quality pickup as an unrestricted free agent.

On a vaguely similar topic I think Reinebold is a hidden gem in Sky's coverage. His breakdown of the Wildcat last night was an excellent feature.

Thanks :)

My intelligence shines through again.

I'll go back and look for some of my other pearlers including Mendenhall to be OROTY, McFadden as a bust and the Redskins to get to the Bowl. There will be many more I am sure. Since I have already mentioned the Mayo as DROTY on the eve of the season prediction :lux:

ardeo 04-01-2009 10:00 PM

3-0 eagles

Benzhiyi 04-01-2009 10:08 PM

One game too far in the end. Still immensely proud, not even remotely upset. Simply beaten by a better side today. The hour or so of real time where we couldn't get out of our own 20 felt like about five years. Fair play to the Ravens.

And the Pats are crazy if they think someone is going to trade for Cassel if he's on 13 million bucks.

Crazy perhaps. But they are protecting themselves if Brady is not ready to go next season. They have the cap room so it seems like a win win for them to be quite honest. And if they do want to get rid of him... I'll bet someone makes a move for him...

pauldrulez 04-01-2009 10:15 PM

Lots of teams need Quarterbacks. Bill will do whatever helps the Patriots. Cassel wants a nice long career and will go wherever but says he likes New England. I'd love to see them both in camp competing BUT one or the other wont be there

davematt 04-01-2009 10:20 PM

Rumours from North California are that the 49ers are looking at possibly getting in Cassel..

pauldrulez 04-01-2009 10:30 PM

Yep, his hometown club. Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

I just don't get how people can question Belichicks decisions. You'd think he had done nothing through his career.

Last year - He ever had a winning season without Brady. And he's a cheat, waah waah waah.
This year - Has a winning season with Cassel and people still doubt his decisions.
