Pick any 2 teams in the AFC to play that game and this is the one combination I did not want. A 256/1 chance (if all teams are equal) that this occurs.

Rooting for the NFC to win the Superbowl now.

I always have been. You know it makes sense ;)

To be honest, the good part is I have a team in the Superbowl to root against.

Like with the Squeelers last year.

If the Jets win the Superbowl. Well, I hope Pinky appreciates the pain that a lot of fans will have. :grrr:

A very similar play was the Saints/Skins game where the WR (name escapes me) saw the pick and tackled back and he had the ball in his hands to run it in for a TD ... brilliant!

The Saints one was Meacham.

But, I have to make a point on the Moss one.

He doesn't expect the ball in his hand every play, otherwise he would hate having Welker/Edelman in the slot.

And he makes a lot more blocks and tackles than he used to. He flattened Revis on a pick against the Jets.

I meant that a play that is to him, not every play. You get what I mean though, Garcon and new players like him want to make a good impression whereas the likes of TO and Moss don't necessarily need to. I know they chase back on occassions, I recall even TO doing it last season but you get what I meant ...

So it would appear that other than the obvious Jet's fan, Mr Suckling, am I the only other one hoping they make it to the Superbowl?

jazman 18-01-2010 03:45 PM

Thanks Oz ... :p

I'm not worried who makes it from this point if I'm honest. It would be quite funny to see the Jets win as no one ever thought they would do it ... and give hope to all mediocre sides in the regular season ...

Roddy White did that this year as well, in his 2 td 200 yard receiving game.

Although it was more the cornerback being an idiot, he intercepted, started running it back then started celebrating about 30 yards out. Roddy White, who had already torched him for a 90 yard TD, ran back and popped the ball out. That was a legendary fantasy week for him and me :)

I can fully support the NFC now the Cowgirls are out - yay.

Interestingly, i think you'd have to say the 1-6 rankings in the NFC are looking pretty accurate now. Could argue against them slightly but much better than the AFC.

I support:

Palace
Eagles
Andy Murray
Leeds Rhinos
England RFU
England Cricket
Surrey (although i barely support them these days)

Having said that, Eagles results mean more to me due to them only playing 16 or 17 games a season on average, compared with 48-50 games in a season for Palace.

I'm one of the first to slaughter Moss for things, but i've given him a pass this year.

He has been hurt since Game 3. He went across the middle and done Wes's job and got creamed 5 or 6 times on catches.

His star is dwindling, but I can't fault his effort nowadays.

Same with TO. I'd be happy to pick him up as a FA.

Jets @ Chargers - J.E.T.S. Jets Jets Jets (that is more of a me backing Palace blindly)
Ravens @ Colts - Ravens (I hope Colts pay for their relaxed end to the season, even if it helped the Jets).
Cowboys @ Vikings - Cowboys
Cardinals @ Saints - Cardinals (Saints were lucky to go unbeaten up until they started resting players).

Only one predicted right, but boy am I glad of it!!

What is it about you lot and your hatred for the Cowboys? Let it go ... ;)

My country goes without saying ... but Andy Murray? I have always said hate is a strong word and I never use it. If I ever was to use it in any context I would consider it for that person ... .

Well just put them in as I don't really support England football particuarly, or care about davis cup tennis.

Sounds like you are as misguided about Murray, like many others.

I don't hate cowgirls, just don't like them, would you have wanted the Eagles to win the Superbowl if they'd got there?

pauldrulez 18-01-2010 04:20 PM

Here's my order.

1. Palace
2. Patriots
3. Fernando Alonso
4. Surrey

What about dislike?
1. Brighton
2. NY Jets
3. Millwall
4. Lewis Hamilton
5. Charlton/Man Utd in a hateable tie.
6. Ze Germans
7. Andy Murray
8. Indianapolis Colts
9. Miami Dolphins
10. Shitsburgh Squeelers

Snikt5 18-01-2010 04:22 PM

I'm new to this particular thread. Why the Jets hatred?

Ah I see, then you must be really Pi$$ed at how Gang green are doing. Don't worry it will all end on Sunday.

Next season the Jets will be immense.
