It does feel like there’s more ‘surprise packages’ in the league than in previous seasons. Certainly the Jets, Giants and Seahawks, and to a lesser extent the Vikings, Eagles and Dolphins (good rosters, but surely few predicted their respective standings). Also the surprisingly dogshit Packers, Broncos and maybe Rams.

Yep and there's no standout team either. People will say the Eagles but they still have off weeks. Loving the Dolphins this season though, top notch entertainment most weeks

How old is Colin Kaepernick? I believe he's available.

I believe he's more trouble than he's worth. Seen his 'documentary' on netflix about him and he's raised by white middle class parents but has a big chip on his shoulder. He's pretty gone in the head imo, quite racist in fact.

Well, there isn't JG any longer... out for the season. Made of glass that bloke.
The 9ers now have Brock Purdy (the 262nd and final pick in the 2022 draft) as QB who did ok today. Apparently Josh Johnson is being signed up (again) from the Broncos practice squad.

Another season wrecked by injuries and I guess that's it for this season's 9ers. Ciao.

cranesparkeagle 11-12-2022 10:11 PM

Could Purdy take over and be the no 1 qb even when Jimmy G is back fit

CT_Palace 12-12-2022 12:31 AM

Did alright today!!

More injury concerns though. Samuel carted off with a knee injury.

You mean the 12 and 1 Eagles? Best stats in the league? Just secured a play-off place? Off weeks? Sure, that Washington game was gash, but 'off weeks'?

CT_Palace 16-12-2022 09:18 PM

9ers clinch the NFC West with a good defensive display over the Seahawks :lux: :lux:

Purdy still preforming adequately.

Johnintheusa1 16-12-2022 10:32 PM

@CT... who's gonna win the lot then?

CT_Palace 17-12-2022 12:43 AM

Eagles Chiefs Super Bowl. Take your pick.

Wilbraham413 17-12-2022 12:54 AM

To me, Buffalo is still the team to beat. The Chiefs pulled the win out of their ass last year in the playoffs in KC. This year, the Bills will likely be the #1 seed, and only have to win 2 games at home to make the Super Bowl. I don't see the Chiefs, or anyone else, winning in Buffalo.

And there's no team in the NFC as good as the Bills/Chiefs. I'm not buying the Eagles/Cowboys/Niners at all.

Bills/Chiefs are the class of the league, then there's 2-3 good teams, and everyone else is mediocre to bad.

Stuck this Colts v Vikings game on after the footy. Easily the best NFL game I’ve ever watched. Mainly cause normally I find it unwatchable, but this comeback is gripping and managing to keep me entertained with the Mrs watching strictly.

greybot 17-12-2022 09:49 PM

Same. Mrs. watching strictly and I'm on my laptop fortunate enough to have been watching the madness unfold. Pure entertainment and one of the best NFL comebacks I've ever seen (should they go on and win it now).

CP-RJW 17-12-2022 10:07 PM

What a game, but fvck me, the Vikings love playing down to poor teams.

Zareba2003 17-12-2022 10:07 PM

Amazing game. What a comeback - did not see that coming at 33-0!

greybot 17-12-2022 10:09 PM

Vikings get the job done!

greybot 18-12-2022 10:54 PM

Jags comeback tonight was just as epic as yesterdays by the Vikings.

We were 27-10 down in the third to the Cowboys and found ourselves taking the lead briefly in the 4th, only to find ourselves losing again with 3 minutes on the clock after Cowboys scored a late touchdown. All we had to do was score a field goal to take the game to overtime with the score now 34-31 but in true Jaguars fashion we dropped the ball when we got within field goal range and lost possession. Some steely defence forced Cowboys to kick the ball and then we had 1 minute to go again and get within field goal range, which we managed with 5 seconds left. The kick was good taking the game into overtime where a 52 yard walk off touchdown after an interception saw us win the game . :lux:

Hilarious ending to the Raiders v Patriots game, don't think I've ever seen anything like it:

9ers make it 9 in a row!

But boy was that hard work! The 9ers came up against the Raiders playing at home, needing a win to keep their hopes alive and a back up QB given his chance and wanting to prove his worth. I'm still not sure how we won.
I keep on waiting for Purdy to be found out, and today he made some mistakes, but "Mr Irrelevant" really does seem to be the real deal!
