I'd be fuming if I was a Dolphins or Jets fan and I had Skyplussed the game.

It ended before 2nd & Goal on the last drive for the Dolphins trying to win the game.

Luckily, I taped the next programme as well to watch it.

I watched it yesterday after work without knowing the score (managed to avoid this thread and twitter on Monday!) - mine stopped recording on 4th and goal!!!! Last bloody play of the game!

Lesson learnt for next time I suppose.. Still, seeing the score hadn't changed on that last play made it not seem so bad :)

Yep Steelers looking very good, their D is on a different level at the moment.

Packers have still got all the ingredients, just one sloppy game.

Bears are doing good, but not looking great.

Just seen why Dolphins fans don't like playing on a baseball pitch, corner thought he was sliding in for a base on the Edwards touchdown!

They need to get that running game in order. John Kuhn can't be their leading rusher with 30 yards a game. (And I'm not saying this just because I have Brandon Jackson on my fantasy team) It's absurd to think that the Steelers don't need Big Ben back, Charlie Batch is not a permanent answer at QB. The Bears looked bad against the Lions and didn't exactly play well last night. If Cutler can keep from melting down, they might make the playoffs.

I think the NFL is up in the air in both the NFC and AFC.

John Gruden.

Overrated commentator. All he does is talk positively about anything. The first time he says someone is shite will be the first.

Discuss.

jazman 29-09-2010 08:38 AM

I rather like his style but having said that I have yet to sit through a monday night game yet ...

y2rich 29-09-2010 10:22 AM

Is Gruden in charge at the Jags? They've suddenly started hoarding QBs.

pauldrulez 29-09-2010 10:50 PM

It's all so quiet.

Not one mention of this Monday's battle royale.

Myself, Pete and the Bellyman, Phil.

Against Ben, Elliott and the Strathman Tony.

Interesting game, I have no idea on what will happen and for the first year before a Pats-Phins matchup, I don't want to make an arse of myself, so i'll just post a picture.

That's a first ... ;)

Cowboys on a bye week so I can enjoy the action with not a worry in the world ... :)

Anyone else take St Louis over Washington in the picks league last week?

I was pretty damn pleased with that one.

(Although not for Nookiebear.)

Bellyman 30-09-2010 02:31 PM

I think the Pats - Phins will be a really good game.

Although not liking out D at the moment!

Bills scoring 30 points last week is NOT good.

You can see what everyone else picked each week in group picks, noone else had the Rams so well done!

Also congrats to Sax for picking the Seahawks, but really what was he thinking taking Denver over the Colts ;)

I thought I did.

Evidently not.

I did the first 2 weeks though.

So, basically I thought the Rams would be 3-0. That'll be the Samchise effect.

pauldrulez 30-09-2010 04:37 PM

And is it wrong that i'm doing 3 picks better WITH the Spread, than without the Spread.

Maybe I should take up Gambling properly.

I was a little harrassed and a little rushed on Sunday and didn't get my early picks in on time. There were a few matches I barely looked at at just went for majority home teams. No excuse but can see Denver maybe beating a decent team or two this year at home.

As a side note, my membership at Denver has finally come up with season tickets (waiting list over 3 years). I can get a ticket for the final 6 home games of this year for $1,000 per seat. These are the top end club seats (indoor, climate controlled, food served at seat, etc). Getting these this year would guarantee me getting tickets next year when we actually live there whereas turning them down means I'll have to take my chances again next year.

Question - how do I justify over $2,000 of expense to my wife for sports tickets I won't use when I've just ordered about $1,000 worth of tickets for the Cricket and Rugby world cups for next year? :D

Swanny32 01-10-2010 03:07 PM

Easy solution Sax, sell them on Stub hub, if you sell them at face value then they should sell and you'll not lose out, you might even be able to bump the price up for some of the tastier fixtures.
