Interesting decision by Undead Al though.

Ochocinco rates him as the best coach he has worked with when he worked with the wide receivers in Cincinnati. He has coached all through the offense so he knows what he's doing there and improved the Raiders no end with them scoring double the points in his first year there.

A great start, yep, but I'd rather tighten up the defence too - something I think Cable will have addressed next season. Still, will see how it goes with Jackson.

No way the Raiders will be able to stiffen up on D all that much if Asamugha is going, first job Jackson has is to try and keep him on board which, if you ask me, is fighting a losing battle, that guy wants out and I for one would love to have him in Philly, problem is there will be another 30 teams trying to sign him as well, he's awesome.

If we managed to get him we'd have the best cornerback tandem in the league. Asomugha & Samuel together would be AMAZING.

I was having that same discussion with Ardeo on Sunday night, I know Andy Reid likes him a lot and has expressed an interest in him in the past, think it was last off season he was seriously looking at making a trade for him as we had just let Sheldon Brown go. It'll be interesting to see what Reid does this off season as we are in desperate need for another corner and with our team only needing a few areas addressed before we become real Superbowl contenders it might be wise to go with Asamugha over a rookie in the draft, but like I said in my previous post, there are going to be another 30 teams looking to sign the guy, it would actually be another 31 as I'm sure the Raiders don't want to lose him.

I'm pretty confident that we'll off load Kolb this summer with so many teams looking for a new QB, unless of course he accepts a big pay cut. If he goes then it should free up a lot of dosh which would be more than suffiecient I'd have thought to entice someone like Asamugha to Philly. That being said, Vick needs a new contract and also DJax needs a new contract so I'm pretty sure they are going to eat up a fair bit of our wage budget.

If Nnamdi has his way, he'll be in New York opposite another expensive Cornerback.

Unfortunately they'll have no cap room for that.

They really are ****ed when the cap comes back when you look at their figures.

They've got 43 players signed for 2011. They're $3m below the projected cap of about $135m with them players.

And they need to re-sign Holmes, Edwards, Harris.

This year has been all or nothing for them.

In terms of Chad Ochocinco, I'm not sure if I'd love him or hate him with us. He's a good player but maybe not his best anymore and he's not really a patriot player. Too much about the individual. I love him but only because of his eccentricity so I'd rather he was on another team so that I could admire him, rather than get annoyed by his antics. Doubt he'll turn up.

Hope the Steelers beat the Jets obviously and the new cap is as low as possible and they have to offload/not resign.

Do we have a list of free agents anywhere that I can peruse? Though I don;t want to look at next year too much before this one's over.

Free Agent lists are a bit rare.

With no CBA, no-one knows who will be free agents or not

Laurence Maroney.

The guy who McDaniels gave the Pats a 4th rounder for.

Another bonehead move by Josh.

pauldrulez 18-01-2011 11:28 PM

Speaking of which.

McDaniels to St. Louis as Offensive Co-ordinator.

They win that division by a distance next year.

McDaniels and Spags. Scary.

The Al Davis press conference to announce Jackson was good value.

Did Cable sign on with someone else yesterday or did I just dream that?

To be fair he was a big draft pick for us so it was our stupidity in the first place. Though looks like we made a good decision to finally cut and run.
