8 games for the Colts at FS. And yet another Eagle with sodding ACL issues.

Safety will still have to be a major priority in the draft. Thankfully there are a load of decent ones around this year so Jackson could double as the nickel back and add depth to the backfield in general.

Special can often be confused with being a retardo ... ;)

Yes.

Latest news/rumours;

LT in talks about 3rd down role for Vikes and potential meeting due with the Jets
Delhomme meeting with Browns and maybe the Saints
RIP Merlin Olsen, first round draft pick for LA Rams in 1962
Bryant signs for Bengals
Skins looking to trade for Rams DL Carricker
Big Ben denies having sex

pauldrulez 11-03-2010 10:22 PM

TO still out there though.

Surely the Bengals don't bring in him to go with Bryant and Ocho.

Now that is combustible

jazman 11-03-2010 10:24 PM

And Brandon Marshall?

pauldrulez 11-03-2010 10:55 PM

I'd love to see it happen.

Maybe their personalities all mix perfect and the Bengals go 16-0 :D

jazman 11-03-2010 10:58 PM

You never know. The Raiders recruited quite a bunch of personalities a number of years back who seemed to make some team, remember seeing an America's Game programme all about it ... late 70s I think ...

elliott 11-03-2010 11:08 PM

The raiders had personalities from the late 60s and just kept replacing them.

Your big-mouthed Eagle friend from Edenbridge may want to put his money where his mouth is.

And saxoneagle could be our last resort to make 20. However, i'm sure we can find one more if we need.

OI (in loud voice) ;)

For anyone who remembered him being teamed up with Dick Enberg in the big NBC games from the 80s, RIP Merlin Olsen (aged 69, cancer).

Will never forget the empathy he showed towards Tony Eason during Super Bowl XX as Eason couldn't set his feet before diving out of the way of an awesome pass rush. "I don't blame him, I wouldn't want to stand down there either."

Could make criticisms without sounding like a jerk, usually seemed to be on point, always thought he was great. Sad day.

oz_da II 11-03-2010 11:43 PM

and who could ever forget his florist commercials?

14 straight Pro Bowls, not a bad player...

RIP Merlin.

Eagles to entertain Justin Fargas and Hank Baskett. Meh.

Shit like this puts me off even reading this thread, let alone joining your fantasy league!

Very sad. Merlin Olson seemed like a truly lovely guy.

There's a video of the Fearsome Foursome singing a song, and it's painful to see how little rhythm Merlin had. Such a brilliant video.

Great player, great analyst, great beard, great guy.

Fargas would be ok, can't see the point in Baskett at all.

Swanny32 12-03-2010 09:54 AM

Not sure about either really, Fargas hardly set the world alight with the Raiders as a backup

ardeo 12-03-2010 09:55 AM

He was solid enough, and we need a 2nd RB behind Shady, who won't cost too much. It's not like we run the ball that much anyway.
