I'm not sure if anyone mentioned field position being critical in that game. The Seahawks were regularly starting at midfield while the Redskins always seemed to be starting in their own 20.

Can't believe that some commentators are talking themselves into thinking that the Jaguars will beat the Patriots. Seems like the sort of game where the Patriots love to make a statement if you ask me.

I watched the Seahawks game with a group of mates in the pub. I just got to say that Collingsworth is cringeworthy as a commentator. How many times did he say about Taylor helping the Redskins, it got so boring.

Great result though, good to see the 12th man in full flow!

Think Collinsworth is one of the better analysts actually. In saying that, I'd happily wheel Merlin Olsen out of retirement to be in the booth.

Funnily enough, I just came onto this thread to post that I think Jacksonville have a real chance against the Pats! They have a great D, a mobile QB and two top drawer running backs. If they can get the running game going and keep Brady off the field then they have a great shot at pulling off the upset. If they go 0-14 down and have to rely on their passing game... well, Garrard's good, but I'm not sure he's that good.

What a game Jags-Steelers was though. Insanely exciting. Looked like the Jags had it in the bag, Garrard makes two uncharacteristic errors, Steelers come back, Garrard pulls off a brilliant run on 4th and 2, Scobey holds his nerve to kick the winner. Gotta love the play-offs.

I think people will talk themselves into the Jaguars, then see the score at half-time being something like 21-3 and think "How did I overlook Tom Brady and that offence?"

The defence aren't mugs either. Better players than David Garrard have gone to Gillette Stadium in January and had nightmares.

This (the playoffs) isn't going to be easy for the Pats. Jags were the away team last night and had a better record than the Steelers. They also have some Maurice Jones-Drew, Mr. All-Purpose who can really change a game. The Colts have proven they can give them a game with a depleted receiving core. And the Chargers can play with anyone (when their QB isn't busy being horrible). We all know LT's a stud.

That said, if Gerrard or Rivers play horrible against them, their teams have no chance. If they throw a couple picks... it's all over. They would need to play mistake-free football for there to be a chance. I think the Colts have a little more room for error because, well, they do have Peyton Manning!!! Nuff said!

I still wouldn't put a lot of my money on a team other than the Pats... I'm just saying don't give them the Lombardi Trophy just yet!!!!

I hate Phillip Rivers. Cocky and no reason to be. The only reason he'll ever take a team to the playoffs is because someone like LT carries the offense.
