Not sure he's a loose cannon, just fairly limited and probably not a lot of upside. He's a good pocket passer and that's it.

Lots of mock drafts from ‘experts’ have Fields falling. If he does start to fall I really hope the Pats make the move to get him. Behind Cam for a year would be the perfect place for him. He can redshirt for a year and work with BB and McDaniels. Would be so happy if we get him!

Sounds like his conduct off the field is far from ideal.

Am I the only once sure that Panthers will draft a QB following the Bridgewater trade?

Weird move... Not sure on Darnold as yet, and not even sure who we have as a back up now. Is it the guy from the XFL?

It depends on what happens. If Mac Jones is the only QB left or there is none, they'll try to trade down. If Lance or Fields is there, I think they'll draft them. I can't see them staying at #8 and taking a non-QB.

We got Trevor Lawrence. This is my teams Shaq to Orlando in '92 moment. :sunglasses:

Glad we went for Trey Lance rather than Mac Jones!

CP-RJW 30-04-2021 02:01 AM

Sensible, predictable picks in the top 5, though Sewell might’ve been better for the Bengals.

Who will be the first to royally fvck up?

Jones was always a smokescreen

Sat here wishing the Pats will make the move for Fields. Just know we won’t and will take a CB at 15 or even trade back. Would be peak Bill!

Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team, league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday.

The Packers are aware of his feelings, concerned about them and have had team president Mark Murphy, general manager Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur each fly out on separate trips to meet with Rodgers at various points this offseason, sources told ESPN.
Rumor has Rodgers going to the Broncos. Since they didn't take Fields, this might wash.

Or he will be the Permanent new Jeopardy host!

Annoyingly good pick for the Bears

GB2506 30-04-2021 02:55 AM

******* fuming. Won’t get a better chance to move up 4 spots (a 3rd round pick would have got us there) to get a franchise QB. Spent all that money in free agency on TE’s and we have noodle arm Cam throwing to them.

CP-RJW 30-04-2021 03:14 AM

God damnit Vikings. Had to take Vera Tucker there.

CP-RJW 30-04-2021 03:25 AM

So, the Patriots drafted an unathletic white QB with 3 letters in his first name and 5 letters in his last name...

CT_Palace 30-04-2021 03:27 AM

Well, I wanted a more mobile QB, so I'm not going to complain at all.

However, Lance isn't anywhere near a starting NFL QB. Still very rough around the edges and needs some really intense coaching. But he certainly shows a huge amount of potential.
I guess it's JimmyG for next season - if he can stay fit that's not such a bad option, and it gives the 9ers a year to work on Lance.

Given the history of Bears QBs, I see him having a so-so career. I mean, Jay Cutler is the best Bears QB ever.

The Atlanta Falcons made history Thursday night, selecting Florida tight end Kyle Pitts with the No. 4 overall pick in the NFL draft.

It marks the first time in NFL history that a tight end is the first non-quarterback selected in the draft, and the earliest a tight end has been drafted in the common draft era (since 1967).
I'm sure there is 0% chance this ends in tears.

And of course the Pats stay put and get the guy they wanted anyway.

Remind you of anyone in the last 20 years?
