Guys im moving house in a few weeks so I called up nfllondon.com and was told that each password is registered to an address, so if they receive any orders where the address dont match the order will be cancelled.

Exactly, give it a go....

Yeh give it a go and ill give you my address so if you do get some they can come to me! Good plan. Good luck, just wish i wasn't poor student.

Grim Reaper 16-05-2007 04:49 PM

Has there been any indication of what percentage of people who applied received the letter with the password??

First I thought I was one of the chosen few; then figured they probably sent a letter to everyone but seeing LLCOOL's lamenting maybe I was among the chosen few after all.

Grim Reaper 16-05-2007 04:49 PM

Anyone know the total amount of tickets sold??

I got the email, but didnt get the letter! :sob:

40,000 sold in 90 mins.

Grim Reaper 16-05-2007 04:57 PM

Wow, that's a quick turnaround.

I came back at 12.30 and had no problems getting a ticket. Looks like that dog being sick (which delayed me) might have saved me some online hassle!

Another batch going on sale next month apparently. Reports about that the tickets themselves won't arrive until late September.

Cant see there being many left next month and if there is it will be a mighty scramble.

Grim Reaper 16-05-2007 06:19 PM

Jeez, there's five days of selling in this period. Can't see many being left next month....aside from those on e-bay when people suddenly remember weddings they're attending!!

Strathclyde Eagle 16-05-2007 07:10 PM

When people are doubling their money on eBay you can see why they're doing it.

My guess is that the NFL tried to do some kind of screening, maybe looking up people who registered the same address with multiple e-mail addresses, trying to make sure they've got anyone doing this. The pity is that they haven't got it exactly right. Hard to pick them though - I was worried my saying I wanted to go when I live that far from Wembley would look suspicious. Still thanking my lucky stars that I got tickets.

Grim Reaper 16-05-2007 08:05 PM

Hadn't thought about the distance factor Tony, otherwise I'd have been worried as well.

That said, this is the yanks we're dealing with here - where the state of Florida is the size of England!

They saw you as one of the locals!!

LLCOOLSTEVE 16-05-2007 10:30 PM

balls, only single tickets available this evening :(

saxoneagle 17-05-2007 01:07 PM

Hope you all got what you were looking for! Anyone not getting tickets will have to get themselves across to America for a real match!

I notice that 40,000 tickets were designated for "UK and European fans". Where are the other 50,000 going to? Just the other global markets or will the "sponsors" get most of them like usual!?

Benzhiyi 17-05-2007 03:08 PM

Thank you to the very kind Nookiebear for sorting me out with tickets - my missus couldn't get through on her shite work connection so he saved my ass. (As opposed to his usual trick of trying to touch my ass.)

I'm now off to enjoy Chi-town without having to worry about sourcing tickets to this. :p

Interesting news re tickets and eBay:
http://www.nfllondon2007.com/news.aspx

Can't see how they're going to possibly police it for people who haven't given their full ticket location, unless eBay give up name/address details.

Which would be against the data protection act wouldnt it?

Strathclyde Eagle 18-05-2007 07:46 PM

If that's true then I guess they can only target the people who are advertising tickets as block x, row x, seats xx-xx. Either that, or they're going to make mistakes and really annoy some people.
