'Iconic'. F*ck right off.

Whole programmes on the radio about domestic pets. F*ck off with your four-legged shitting machines.

BMW drivers. All c*nts.

Covent Garden. What a f*cking shithole that has become.

Young people whining about how everything is so unfair, and then seem to be the only people eating and drinking (and talking bollocks) in expensive restaurants and bars.

People who get upset when told to get to the back of the f*cking queue at supermarket customer service desks. where does some people's sense of entitlement come from?

Litter on beaches. C*nts.

One of my biggest pet peeves, and something the airlines need to stand up to... the rules are there, just not enforced.

What is equally annoying, is for a special trip I bought this duffel bag with wheels, that I knew was borderline too big (or should I say larger than the stated allowable size), but was a darn sight smaller than many bags I'd seen brought on to planes and stowed. Low and behold when checking in I was made/asked to try and make the bag fit one of their templates used to determine if the bag was acceptable for carry-on. Needless to say it would not fit, so had to check it, which was OK by me.

Then when I get on the plane, sure enough there were people coming on with bags far larger than my one. It is the inconsistency of the policing that really gets me about this whole bullshit!

On a similar subject (and I've moaned about this before), what about a seemingly new trend of people who sit near the back, putting their carry-on bags in overheads near the front of the aircraft so they can pick them up easier while exiting. Stupid thing is, people sitting near the front, then have to put their bags in overheads behind them which causes even more mayhem at the end of the flight, as people near the front have to wait for the people at the back to get off so they can go to the back to get their bags. Again... a strong cabin crew could prevent this, if common sense is not going to prevail (and I don't blame the cabin crew for this - they would get abused every flight).

Online check in means your "hand luggage" doesn't get measured.

True... it was a bit more complex than "check-in", but it was easier just to say check-in.

The longer version is it was at an area where you leave check-in to go to security, and an American Airline employee checks your ID and Boarding pass before you enter (the point of no return). The AA employee was the one with the box your hand luggage had to fit before they let you pass. This was so you could check it in while still in that area.

Apparently not all employees are/were as diligent.

I'd suggest that, given your condition, you could do with some nourishment. Considering you live in a country with a bountiful supply of fresh fruit and vegetables, deep fried chicken seems a strange choice.

I ate sweetcorn salad ( som tam) with those sausages on the side, you may well he right if I had only stuck to the sweetcorn.
Being tired, drained and hungry fruit isn't first choice for me. Salt, protein and and some carbs. Hopefully back to more healthy tomorrow.

Thailand also has one of the highest rates of pesticides found on fruit and veg. As with most things with Thailand it isn't as wonderful as it seems.

Some sense in what you put replacing the salts etc Having spent the last week nurse maiding the wife the advice from the doctor was bland and simple. Rice Potato and carrots. Added a stock cube to the cooking water of the rice and used salt on the potato. Helped by Diaorolite in the UK.
Usually I have never worried to much about food poisoning but the results of the tests and the discussion with the Dr and the wife has opened my eyes to how bad it can get. It may also help to understand the issues I had for a few months last year.

Most of them don't wash their hands here after having a dump and pick their noses all day long so it wouldn't be much different to normal anyway.

Yeah I've always been told dry foods, salts, fluids and more dry foods. Crisps, bread, but The Digger does have a point vitamins do need replacing. I've drunk litres of rehydration salt drinks as well.

My stomach s feeling a little "delicate" the morning also. Not sure why as I've not eaten anything unusual.

I do have a couple of insect bites though, which might be the cause.

Trying to decide if I should go get some lunch (Not KFC) to steady the ship.

No argument from me. Didn’t they buy out Cadbury?

Last time I had a Cadbury product it didn’t taste as good as I remembered. Mind you it probably really was stale, which is how Hershey’s always taste like to me.

I think they did and changed the recipe in some way. Wasn't there a big fuss a few years ago when they somehow blocked the import of UK manufactured Dairy Milk into the US?

If there is space to go past you on the inside it suggests that you could/should pull over.

Unless you are meaning local to yourself where you are expected to use all lanes without ever changing.

New Order's ability to f*ck up performances of their own songs. Since Joy Division days, they've always been a bit variable live, but in recent years they have either been completely shitfaced or just don't give a toss.

Sumner's inability to play his own guitar parts after forty years is quite something.
Turning 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' into a festival singalong is a bit twatish, as well.

Stick with Nouvelle Vague's version is my advice.

100% agree - if ever a song didn't need "wha-hoos" added to it.

Ever see Peter Hook and the Light - at least he still enjoys playing New Order songs.

P.S. I don't like dark chocolate.

Mission accomplished...

Aldi here seem to carry a brand of chocolate made by Choceur in Austria which is distributed exclusively in The US by Aldi.

I just bought a bar of plain Milk Chocolate to use as the standard. I have to say that after eating 3 squares I am in total agreement... taste great and knocks the socks off Hershey's. A real rich milky taste that does not taste stale as does Hershey's. As good as if not better than Cadbury's!

Great suggestion!

I will have to go back and get the Rum Raisin & Nut which looks interesting.

BTW - still dislike the store... depressing place.

I forgot to pay so they hit me with 2 x fines. I remembered 24 hrs too late and phone to explain they said I could appeal. At the same time I booked my crossing for that day. They only took payment for one crossing. I get another fine. ****wits.

Proper wanky system.

I saw that brand in there too. Also good?

I think we are on to something.

By the way, my 150g bar cost $1.49 which I think is great value.

Andy in Rome 15-06-2018 07:52 AM

Ooh yeah - the Moser Röth brand is luscious - and a damn sight cheaper than the likes of Lindt.

For me this goes for every song by every performer at every festival - which annoys me.
Sometimes I wonder who's actually performing. The act or the whooping show-offs in the audience? And while we're at it, I don't really need a large flag noting which nowhere town in the Shires you're from. I can tell you're a wally without it.
What's happened to watching a gig arms folded with the occasional nod of the head? :sunglasses:Nice

This stuff is even better than what you got.

Bowen. Well, looks like the Brits are keeping up the history of sending rejects to Australia, and long may it continue

KYLIE MINEAGLE 15-06-2018 09:17 AM

Well he's billed as one of Britains greatest designers. Looks a prize pratt to me.

When you're helping someone out and going out of your way to collect them for work...and they can't be on time.

And the rest. Aren't they just the neediest bunch of busy-bodies ever put in a high-vis vest?
  • Put them here.
  • Don't put that in there.
  • All recycling must be blessed by Archbishop Desmond Tutu, otherwise it's treated as landfill.
  • It wasn't out at one minute past mid-night so we won't take it.
  • So what if we missed you, we can't possibly come back - we need to be home before the start of Bargain Hunt.

Looks can be deceptive. But not in this case.

Isn't that the truth.

They have ruined Cadburys
They think a Hershey Bar qualifies as chocolate - unless they produce some different crap for export.

From his wiki page...

"Many times people were filmed in tears of sadness after having seen what he had done to their drawing room: frequently people said they were going to repaint the room with white paint. This reaction made him use darker colours for the walls which could not be painted over as easily. So infamous was his reputation that some people visibly winced when they realised they had got him as their designer."

I remember one woman crying saying that he had made her living room look like a tarts bordello.

Now Linda Barker...
