Yep.

What’s wrong with Liverpool?? Any self respecting club that had their rivals over a barrel like this, would be going hell for leather for a real humiliating score line that will stand forever.

Yeah, I hate that. 'Big club privilege' - get a big lead against another big club, then slack off and just go through the motions. If it was a smaller club, they wouldn't hesitate to score a load more (see Southampton last season}. :hmph:

He is a decent man, in charge of a rabble. He is evidently not up to the task. Of course he'll take the blame, but what can you say about that over-paid rabble ?

Its almost the first time Liverpool have been completely ignored. They were, I thought very very good. Against a lot of teams Man U would be able to paint over some of the cracks but Liverpool were devastating. Its a complete 3 horse race this season. The rest can forget it

BillyTKid 25-10-2021 01:17 PM

Finally got round to watching MOTD. A reminder how good the Chelsea academy is at producing players. Obviously we are experiencing that through Guehi and Gallagher (and sort of Olise) but Southampton's two goal scorers were from there as well. Livramento looks like he is going to be world class and Broja looks a real talent.

I was surprised to see Loftus-Cheek playing. I wouldn't have thought he was good enough to set a starting place, but has for the last few games I believe.

Even Barkley got on on Saturday...

Have Chelsea got a few injuries?

Not to any midfielders as far as I can see.

Just squad rotation I suppose, they’re obviously balancing multiple competitions, and their key players should also be fresher as the season goes on.

Can’t imagine the same would apply for a team like Liverpool that barely rotates, but they’ve managed to win a title that way before.

Hedgehog 27-10-2021 10:14 PM

I suspect there is a thread somewhere else, but I can't find it... what's the thinking about this pending 5 subs that we know Palace are against.

I appreciate the reason Palace are against it (as are most of the clubs of a similar size), but what I dislike the most is the disruption it brings to the flow of the game. Hate watching European games when they are constantly stopping and starting to make changes.

Are they going continue with the only 3 substitute stoppage per team, i.e. 5 subs can only be done during 3 separate hold-ups in play per team... which could in theory still be 6 separate stoppages.

Hate it.

Fair play to Moyes. He has done very well at West Ham. Was a good manager at PNE and Everton and has rebuilt his reputation.

Guessing he won't be taking the Man U job if it is offered!

Now they’re having this latest mini revival of fortunes before they disappear to the lower reaches where they belong, I get jittery when they luckily stumble into the final stages of competitions.

Whatever international genius they seem to get in as a manager.
