Help with points systems would be good.

I think we should include Kick Return Yards as well. I am not sure how to do points for DST so any help would be well appreciated.

I dont wear knickers Mr HairyChester City

I think the DST points usually includes some kind of points for kick and punt returns... you thinking Chicago then? :D

Waiver Priority

Once a team has claimed a player from the waiver wire, that team drops to the bottom of the list and all other teams previously below it move up one spot.

A high waiver priority should be safeguarded to use on quality players if possible.

I dont understand what that means apart from me being first.

So when a player is cut I get first dib dabs

pauldrulez 16-05-2008 07:42 PM

Maybe a certain WR may bring some points.

However WW could be another who brings points.

Yes! Well, apart from the reserve after you :D

pauldrulez 16-05-2008 07:49 PM

If anyone else turns up that is :D

We can always do the draft now and find the points later since most of the FREE fantasy places are closed for now.

No -you need to know the points because it affects the draft! If you're wondering whether to take LT or Peterson and your league gives points to RBs for catches, LT would win over Peterson. If it doesn't then it would be a tighter call...

pauldrulez 16-05-2008 07:56 PM

True.

I dont know what each of the certain ones choose for the points.

Does Yahoo give more points for catches or does ESPN or what. I am not certain with what to do so it really is up to the rest of you.

Well, we aren't actually doing the REAL draft until July so we'll know by then which scoring we're using and that will give us time to do the draft...

pauldrulez 16-05-2008 08:01 PM

Thats true.

So we can muck about with trades and everything now but we are not doing the draft

Chester 16-05-2008 08:03 PM

I thouraghly expect myself to be raped in trade offers due to not really having a clue and therefore doubt i will do any. Do we really need trades for picks?

I also reckon i am going to have the most laughable team in the world due to the knowledge of some people on here.

pauldrulez 16-05-2008 08:06 PM

Chester, you have 2 months to look through websites and find out some steals.

If you dont want to trade then you dont have to. I think trades for picks are good as long as they are pretty fair and not Madden 08 style :D

Chester 16-05-2008 08:12 PM

Cool beans, dont mean to come accross as a whining git on this thread.

Just that quite frankly some of it has confused the beejesus out of me

I normally do a trade on the 2007 one for Reggie Bush in his rookie year and swapping first round picks for the future year knowing I'm probably going to win the superbowl and rape New Orleans for a decent pick :D

Do you ever do a Mario Williams/Reggie Bush trade? One of those "what might have been" trade decisions.

Reggie Bush is actually the best rookie on the game... unlike in real life!

I think he'll be a decent player but not worthy of his number 2 pick. Williams, Leinart and Young, to name but three other big picks, will come out of that draft with better careers...

saxoneagle 16-05-2008 10:51 PM

Right, I'm off to the States for 10 days. Paul, don't get yourself too excited about a draft which is 2 months away ;)

pauldrulez 16-05-2008 11:06 PM

I wont. I already know my picks so ha.

Any trades? :D;)

pauldrulez 18-05-2008 10:02 PM

Was in Sports World, Purley Way today. They have Oakland Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers hats on sale in there for £6 Was looking for an American Football and ended up with nothing which is really annoying. They didnt even have some Pats stuff to cheer me up.

K'm looking for the Patriots golf cap sort of thing. Cant remember what its called properly, anyone know of anywhere that has it? Tried ebay with no luck.

pauldrulez 21-05-2008 10:34 AM

Bump as to not let if fall any further :D

Interesting comment though:

All seems like a contrived way to get traded if you ask me. Just have the guts to come out and say you want to go to a successful team, I think most of us could live with that.
