Normally, what separates humans from animals is humans learn from their mistakes. I guess not in this case.

You're normally bounced out of Carolina pretty quickly if you're being a bad boy. It's a bit weird though that WR Brandon Lafell is also being sued by a Texas woman for outstanding child support.

So, we had up to #31 revealed on the NFL Top 100 of 2013. Some interesting notes: Patrick Peterson is the highest rated CB this year at #33. There are 2 rookies left to be revealed, RG3 and Luck. And there is only one more TE to be revealed. That means either Gronk or Jimmy Graham is off the list. On top of that, Richard Sherman proved what a world class idiot he is by saying Roddy White didn't deserve to be in the Top 100 players.

I didn't just slam my head on a desk, I slammed it through 35 desks, through the floor, through the crust and core and into middle earth.

The Patriots are signing Tim Tebow.

Unless this is for goal-line/2 point conversions only, I don't like it.

pauldrulez 10-06-2013 10:12 PM

I hope it's as a football player and not a QB, but I doubt it.

McDaniels is geting a hell of a lot of rope in personnel from BB.

pauldrulez 10-06-2013 10:19 PM

At least it's no risk at all.

If it works out = genius.

If it doesn't work out = who cares

C'mon dude, you didn't think Tom Brady was going to play forever. Did you?

pauldrulez 10-06-2013 10:44 PM

I did:(

I actually believed his successor would come in the next draft.

At the moment, the Atlanta Falcons have the best salary-cap situation of any NFC South team for 2014 and 2015. The Falcons have $113.3 million committed toward a 2014 cap that’s likely to be a little over $120 million. They only have $61.6 million committed toward the 2015 cap. But we all know that’s going to change dramatically whenever quarterback Matt Ryan agrees to a massive contract extension. But the Falcons are positioned well to absorb the Ryan contract.

Carolina general manager Dave Gettleman did a nice job of digging out of a cap hole this year. But he’s going to have to do it again …and again. The Panthers already have $133.2 million committed toward the 2014 cap. They have $118.9 committed toward the 2015 cap with 39 players under contract. Quarterback Cam Newton isn’t one of those players. At some point, the Panthers are going to have to give Newton a new contract and that will create even more cap challenges.

The New Orleans Saints led the league in 2014 cap commitment the last time we checked. But they have dropped to second place now. They have $148.8 committed toward the 2014 cap and Dallas leads the league at $149.2. In 2015, the Saints have $130.6 million committed to 41 players. Again, that commitment is second only to Dallas ($140.4 million).
NFL teams are like governments, always pushing debt obligation to the next administration.
