I'd take Kelly when Belichick leaves.
He'll learn from it and would have done in the long run. |

Only Denver without Manning. 2 of their wins were scoreless 2nd halves against Cleveland and San Diego. |

Sounds like Belichick without the achievements to me. I still think he will do really well somewhere, whether or not that is Tennessee is another matter. |
Chip could go away and re-evaluate things and do well, but all that I saw in 3 years as HC was an inability to adapt and to get on with players. I think he needs to realise the NFL is very different from college football, and talent is king not the system. You can't just alienate and release as many players as he did and expect to be successful.
One of the things I read was that he was totally uninterested in the defence, and barely spent any time with the defensive coaches let alone the players, while his system meant they spend way more time on the field than any other defence in the league. I don't think any defensive players will be sad to see him go, although interestingly they have been the quietest through his whole tenure. |
The issue to me would be that his offense got worse and worse as each year passed.
The other issue would be that he let McCoy (the perfect fit for his offense) leave and signed Murray, who is probably the worst fit for it possible. He'd have been better off signing Vereen and Matthews and then rotating them in and out. Then you would've had another 6m or so to spend elsewhere and it would've all fit better. Another issue is that Lurie seems to have been angered and upset by it, and he's usually a calm Owner who just lets things play out. |
Oh, and I think he's a high end offensive coach, but he's not great with his personnel side, but considering his system, he needs a certain amount of control of that side on offense.

Never though I would hear myself say it, but I hope Dallas lose to the Skins this weekend. We really need as high a draft pick as possible and improve our chances of getting Lynch or Goff to take over from Romo the season after next.

The Browns paid Dwayne Bowe $1.8M a catch this season. $9M, five receptions.
No injury, complained of a sore hamstring during pre-season, not sure anyone believed him. Well played, Cleveland. |
It'd have been blinding to know that the Patriots weren't hugely trying today before I sat and watched it after that football performance today.
Run, run, lob a bomb. Run, sack, run Sack, run, lob a bomb. Vanilla as vanilla gets, yet they've still got Brady killed |
Good to see the Eagles win to stop them coming over to the UK. :hmph:

At what point was winning that game a good idea?? Trip to London, higher draft pick for the new HC and an easier schedule that didn't include a trip out to Seattle. We can't even suck properly! This season has been a waste of time.

Browns' owner Jimmy Haslem sacks GM Farmer and HC Pettine via email, what a coward...
Is there a worse run professional sports franchise than the Browns? Maybe the 76ers? |

I hope the Panthers make the Super Bowl.

Houston Texans players walking around with big smiles and wearing "AFC South Champions" caps. That's a little bit embarrassing...
