Looks like Wentz has an ACL and if confirmed by MRI today will miss rest of season

MasterYoda 11-12-2017 12:31 PM

proper gutting for him and Philly.

SteveyHawking 11-12-2017 12:48 PM

NFC East champs but there goes the chance of winning the Superbowl without Carson.

You don’t trust Foles?!

Beckenham Boy 11-12-2017 12:56 PM

Chargers keep going with 4th in a row and 7 from 9.

MASSIVE game v Chiefs in Kansas next up. Make or break.

Got to feel for Wentz. Was having an incredible season up until the injury. Seems like every week another blue chip player is going down with injury... David Johnson, OBJ, Aaron Rodgers, JJ Watt, Carson Wentz, Sherman, Deshaun Watson.

On the Bengals front, I hope this is the season that Mike Brown blows it all up. New head coach, co-ordinators, o-line coach all required. It has become clearer each week that this team, despite being very talented on paper is not being utilized correctly.

If someone tells him it's 2013 he might be okay. To be fair he managed the game pretty well when he came in to replace Wentz and if we use him as a game manager like Smith and Bortles while concentrating on the run with Ajayi, Blount and Clement we could be alright. The defense and special teams will have to step up even more now.

Vince Hilaire's Afro 11-12-2017 01:47 PM

The NFL has become such a quarterback/passing driven league that a QB injury really brings a team down more than ever.

Not so common for teams to enjoy superbowl runs with 'game manager' oriented quarterbacks these days

ben1987 11-12-2017 02:51 PM

I don't watch any of their games in too much depth but is the Eagles D that good? Seem to have given up at least 20 points in most of their games and those that are under 20, are the leagues worst teams. I think they will struggle massively without Wentz.

It's pretty solid, probably better than Cowboys, and we'll need to emulate what they did last year, with a strong running game, game manager QB, and solid defence. Although that didn't get them far in the playoffs...

Gutted about, and for, Wentz. Foles has a few easyish games to get himself going before the play offs. Got some damn good weapons around him, so if he doesn't go all pick happy like when he last started then eagles could still have a chance.

Pleased that Wentz managed to get the single season td record, even after his knee got twatted!

BLUE BOY 11-12-2017 09:29 PM

Been really impressed by Wentz, Eagles look a sound team for the next few years.

Bankerhater1 11-12-2017 09:35 PM

Just have a look at Ben R's yardage last night .... my my ...!!!

Point of order: we all have an ACL ;)

It's like when that annoying ****** who ruins RedZone every week goes on about a player who is playing well "having a day". It doesn't even make sense. We all have days, dipshit.

Funk Butter 15-12-2017 07:27 PM

I went to https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com...l-predictions/ and got 14 teams to 10-6. I can get 10 teams to 11-5.

greybot 17-12-2017 11:29 PM

We are in the playoffs for the first time since 2007 :lux: :lux: :lux: It's been a long wait!
