I'm sure Cam is thrilled with this:

After its victory over the Green Bay Packers yesterday, the Carolina Panthers football team announced it’ll be up for sale at the end of the season. The team didn’t give a reason, but Sports Illustrated later reported on an ongoing NFL investigation into multiple counts of alleged workplace misconduct—everything from sexual harassment to addressing a Black employee with a racial slur—by the team’s current owner, Jerry Richardson. Not long after the news broke, a surprising (and surprisingly exciting) potential buyer emerged: the man currently known as Diddy, a.k.a. Sean Combs, a.k.a. Puff Daddy, a.k.a. P. Diddy.

Although the team technically represents both Carolinas, Diddy took to Instagram to make his case to the people “of the beautiful state of North Carolina.” First off, he would be “the best NFL owner that you can imagine.” Second, he would “immediately address the Colin Kaepernick situation and put him in the running for next year’s starting quarterback.” Third, he would make sure the Panthers are putting on the NFL’s best halftime shows and playing the best music. He also threw in something about leading the team to Super Bowl wins, which seems like a pretty important promise.

In the running = back-up to Cam. I'm surprised CK hasn't found his way back on to someones roster yet though.

Cam could do with a bit of competition anyway, and Kap would be a high quality back up to him with similar qualities if he were to get injured. It makes sense from a playing perspective.

ben1987 21-12-2017 12:46 PM

Kap will only end up on a roster when he realises he is only worthy of a backup salary.

I'm 100% sure that Diddy was not talking about backing up Cam and probably doesn't even watch football.

For Jimmy G see Matt Cassel and Ryan Mallet. New England is very good at making you think their back up QB situation is good and rinse people for draft picks.

Not ageing well this. We'll take the high 2nd pick. Thank you.

Looking more like this is the story, by the day.

Brady to Kraft to Belichick to Garoppolo to Niners.

Edit - and thank the Lord!

Genuinely excited going into 2018 as a Niners fan. We have a ton of cap space going into free agency and we can focus on getting an elite play maker through the draft now we are sorted at QB.

I'd like to see him tied to a long-term deal ASAP. The whole receiving corps has looked so much better under him.

OL, pass-rusher, CB the priority in the draft.

Edit - & FA

The 49ers will surely franchise Graps if they don't sign him to a long term contract.

It would be inconceivable that they won't.

I'd rather a long-term deal be agreed, tho.

Fair play, I’d say Cam’s better (however it’s debatable at least) although I’m 98.5% sure P Diddy (or whatever he’s called now) has about as much chance of owning an NFL franchise as i do. Not that it would be a bad thing for the sport in general.

Cam is surely the greatest fu%kwit in the game.

Vince Hilaire's Afro 24-12-2017 09:36 PM

I doubt Diddy even knows what a Carolina is

Exclusive Tag now looms.

Awful trade by the Patriots.

No wonder Belichick wasn’t happy.

Chief Brody 25-12-2017 04:13 PM

Just shows how influential a quality QB is to other players.

Taylor, Kittle, Goodwin all posting good numbers and contributing.

44 points on the best D, with no names on Offense.

pauldrulez 25-12-2017 05:01 PM

I would say that the Jags D is getting worse as the season progresses.

I’ll be interested to see when DC’s get tape on him how they adjust next season.

Good for the league to get 4-5 younger stars at QB

Yes, it will. Yet, hopefully, he will have a stronger supporting cast.

Injury to leading receiver and rookies playing key roles, plus an OC who will have a team with a years experience of his scheme, shows a lot of potential upside.

 :p

There'a few teams who could have used a Mr. Quarterback this season.
