They still have the second largest cap space after the Garoppolo deal.

Even after the deal

Yes, some expected cuts in forthcoming FA personnel are due.

They under invested, and poorly invested for several years.

That changed when Lynch/Shanahan came on board.

Conceivably, there may be only one surviving player from the Harbaugh era at OTAs this summer. The roster has been almost entirely turned over.

Read the other day that it's rumoured former Bears and panthers CB Charles 'Peanut' Tillman has successfully completed training to be an FBI Agent!

Nice. :p

Could next season be the season it all comes together?

Had the opportunity to watch quite a lot of the combine over the weekend.

Don't know why I find it such a fascinating watch, but it certainly helps familiarize yourself with whats about to enter the league.

Whoever lands Saquon Barkley will be striking absolute gold. This kid ticks every single box. If he is somehow still on the board come the Niners 9th overall pick, I think i'd jizz a little in my pants.

He won't make it past the Browns pick at #4.

Agree.

For me, take him first overall and then get your QB at #4 (unless they are literally head over heels for Sam Darnold and don't want to run the risk of someone trading up for him with either the Giants or Colts).

Colt's won't be taking a QB at #3.

Giants might at #2, but think that will depend on Barkley being an option for them.

I get he's a physical specimen but I don't get the love in for Barkley. He got shut down a couple of times by good teams and seems to get most of his yards on big highlight runs.

If I was the browns and didn't fall in love with one particular QB then I'd pick Bradley Chubb first pick and have him and Myles Garrett go on the warpath.

You sound like you're describing Barry Sanders, I'd gladly take that. He's not the runner that Sanders was but he's a better pass catcher.

Barry sanders didn’t get shut out by anyone in college.

Sanders had 373 carries in only 12 games. Barkley had 217 in 13 games. College football is way different now than it was back in 1988. Of course, if I had the choice, I'd pick Sanders.

I'm not sure he makes it past the Giants at #2 and if I'm the Browns, I take him at #1. They haven't got an awful OL, he could run well behind them.

I have no idea what the Rams are doing. I can understand trading players to open up more cap space but surely they could get more for Quinn and especially Ogletree than this.

Quote:

Dolphins acquire DE Robert Quinn from Rams for 2018 4th-round pick, swap of 6th-rounders

Giants acquire LB Alec Ogletree, 2018 7th-round pick from Rams for 2018 4th- and 6th-round picks

tsunamiman 07-03-2018 10:34 PM

Quinn hasnt been good for a few years and has a large cap number.

Eagles Defensive Line:

DT Fletcher Cox
DE Brandon Graham
DE/DT Michael Bennett
DT Timmy Jernigan
DE Derek Barnett
DE Chris Long
DE Vinny Curry

Damn. (Obviously won’t be that soon unless curry takes a serious pay cut)

The Steelers have stuck the Franchise tag on Le'Veon Bell again.

He's already come out and pretty much confirmed he won't be reporting for work until Sept 1st (So he'll miss OTA's, Mini Camps, Training Camp etc...)

What other industry in the world can someone get paid an estimated $11.86m and literally decide when they start work!

I do feel for Bell but at the same time can understand where the Steelers are coming from. Although Bell is special; arguably the most complete RB in the game.

I would do the same damn thing as him. With the way RB salaries have become depressed, he'll never get his true value on a franchise tag. Reminds me of Tim Raines in baseball years ago. He was one of the victims of the owners colluding against free agents to depress salaries. He missed the first month of the season while waiting for a contract. Even though he missed all of spring training and a month of the season, he led the Expos in almost every category.

The Browns have been busy,

Quote:

Browns acquire WR Jarvis Landry from Dolphins for 2018 4th-rounder, 2019 7th-rounder

Browns acquire CB Damarious Randall from Packers for QB DeShone Kizer

Browns acquire QB Tyrod Taylor from Bills for 3rd-round pick (No. 65)

CT_Palace 11-03-2018 01:54 PM

Sherman a 9er!!??!! :eek::eek:

turkey leg anyone?

Icy 11-03-2018 05:06 PM

Shock trade. I’m sure the 9ers will forgive him if he recaptures some of his 2013/14/15 form. Surprised the sea monkeys didnt want to keep him though.
