I went to the Pats stadium when i was over there about 8 years ago, unfortunately or fortunately I didn't see a game but it looked pretty impressive.

Gillette didn't open until 2002 I think. Was it just being constructed when you were over?

Swanny32 28-10-2008 02:59 PM

Yeah, from what i remember of it there seemed to be an old stand outside of it but it could have been the fact that they were building it!

Swanny32 28-10-2008 03:01 PM

I just remember being gob smacked at the sheer size of it. Can't remember where we were going or what we were doing, when I say I went to it what I mean is we drove past it.

Just watched the press conference of Mike Singletary going nut nut

Brilliant, I'm all for it :)

Saw that on Gameday yesterday, ruffled some feathers to say the least, might give the team the kick up the arse they need although JT needs more than a kick up the backside, he just needs to be let go, he is shocking!

The old Foxborough Stadium was right next door I believe.

Me too. If I didn't like Singletary (just an iconic player in the NFL when I was growing up) I'd wish a long losing streak on him to see more like that.

That would explain it then, looked a bit wierd, seem to remember them having a stand facing the back of another stand

Been looking at the stadium in detail today to try and find pictures of it being constructed. Follow the Providence Turnpike North and you can't miss it!

I'll not be driving - I want public transport. It's OK, have my Bostonian friend on the case for me :)

Who says you will? Some people don't seem to confident about 2009 just yet...

pauldrulez 28-10-2008 04:29 PM

You mean the Boston Globe?

Nothing in that is ever true.

When it is in the Herald it is true. The Globe story is what Schefter and the other NFL Network people are getting it from. Dr. James Andrews has said that the Doctor who performed the final procedure has said it has gone fine. The Patriots have said it has gone fine.

But, at least you get to see Superbowl XLIII MVP twice ;)

Thats right. I'm talking about

VERNON GHOLSTON ;)

Nah, JEROD MAYO.

No-one knows - if the infection takes hold then it WILL need to be re-done. I've had friends go through similar.
