All change for the live games this week. Sky games for Wk17 this Sunday confirmed. 6pm - Pit @ Mia / 9pm - Phil @ Dal. Then Cin @ NY Jets on Five on 5 Sunday Night. All 3 big games.

pauldrulez 29-12-2009 03:55 PM

Good. I pick Miami, Philly, Jets.

2 make the playoffs and lose first week of playoffs

jazman 29-12-2009 04:13 PM

The fact that the Vikings lost last night means that our game now means so much more.

If Eagles win we'll have a bye so can't lose in the first week so there :P

Having watched tha skins cowboys game, it's looking really tight for next week. It's good that there is still the 2nd seed to play for, although it's a pity we can't eliminate the cowboys in the last game of the season again.

At the moment, I think Cowboys have to be slight favourites, playing at home and with the defence firing and romo and austin still connecting on long plays. Think the Eagles are a bit banged up and losing Jamaal Jackson is a bit of a blow.

We still have the ability to win but it'll be tough, looking forward to it though! :p

Good Point.

You have to win though.

Giants will roll over vs the Vikings.

pauldrulez 29-12-2009 06:36 PM

Teams that will roll over next week.

Indy.
San Diego.
Cincinnati.
New England.
New Orleans.
NY Giants.

Book it.

ProBowl squads announced tonight.

I personally hope that not one Patriot plays in it, but as for the team selection I think 3 are or should be locks.

Brady, Welker, Wilfork.

Meriweather, Gostkowski and Mayo should all be in with a shout. So should Stephen Neal. We haven't lost this year when he's played. But I bet the opposite Guard, Mankins gets selected.

Bodden won't get any recognition despite his numbers.

What about the rest of your teams.
Austin, Witten, Ware and possibly Brooking should be in with a shout for Dallas. Romo would be 4th QB (1st reserve), Brees, Favre and A-Rod beat him out.

Eagles- DJax, Celek (tough call with Gonzalez and a few others), Cole, Sheldon Brown. Probably missing another. Akers may get in as well.

One of the funniest things of the season for me. Love the players in the background when he does it the 2nd time.

(For those that don't know, that's Moss's normal TD celebration)

pauldrulez 29-12-2009 08:46 PM

Guess who got re-tweeted by Adam Schefter :D

And from that, another 5 or 6 others.

Strathclyde Eagle 30-12-2009 12:12 AM

Make that about 50 or 60 at the moment.

Not all favourable, but I guess you're used to that. :D

pauldrulez 30-12-2009 12:39 AM

I haven't found a bad tweet yet, it's up at about 20 now :)

@realpatriots has revealed that we have 4 Pro-Bowlers.

I'm going for Brady, Welker, Wilfork and Mankins though he don't deserve it.

AddiscombeEagle 30-12-2009 01:13 AM

ray rice is deservedly in.

pauldrulez 30-12-2009 01:42 AM

Wilfork starting at DT
Mankins starting at LG
Welker a backup
Brady a backup.

Could be worse I suppose.

Teams on here:
Baltimore: Ray Lewis, LeRon McClain, Haloti Ngata and Ed Reed all starters. Ray Rice is 3rd RB.
Cleveland has Joe Thomas as backup and Josh Cribbs as KR.
Miami has Jake Long as starting Tackle
Carolina has Peppers starting and DeAngelo Williams as 3rd RB
Dallas has Gurode starting at Center and D-Ware starting at LB. Austin, Ratliff, Witten and Davis all backups
Philadelphia has DJax(WR and KR), Samuel, Peters, Weaver and Akers starting, Trent Cole as backup.

Pleased to be reasonably represented but glad not more on the off chance we pull off the seemingly impossible and make it to the big game. Not a big fan of the moving it to before the superbowl :(

jazman 30-12-2009 09:49 AM

One question. How is Miles Austin a back up? He's had a wonderful season.

And I'll get castigated for saying this on here but what the hell. Romo has also had a wonderful season, probably his best to date but he hasn't made it either.

Swanny32 30-12-2009 09:57 AM

Djax, the first player in history to get voted in at two positions! Wooooo!

Swanny32 30-12-2009 10:02 AM

Hahaha Cleveland and Oakland have more players in the pro bowl than Pittsburg! Love it!

Romo and Schaub both had years that would normally make ProBowls.

But look who is ahead of them.

Manning, Rivers, Brady.

Brees, Favre, Rodgers.

Tough to argue

But sport is all about opinion. And you argue the toss over everything on here. So I thought I would. I agree Brees is the best QB in the NFC but I don't think Favre and Rodgers are any better than Romo has been this season.

And Manning, Rivers and Brady are not comparible as they are AFC so not strictly ahead of him.

Feel free to have a read. I must admit I've been blogging more about NFL than anything else which has suprised me ...
