I don't understand any of this.

Some of the players don't seem very athletic or skillful.

When I was about 6, someone brought me back a Joe Montana figure and and AFL ball - I became obsessed with American Football for about 2 years and was convinced I'd grow up to be a wide receiver. The figure was Joe Montana but my hero was Jerry Rice.

Totally forgot all the rules until a few years ago when I was in NY for the Giants win. Forgotten them all again but I'm cheering for the 49ers.
