Kaep was a sitting duck for the majority of that second half, and when Vernon Davis went off, he literally had no one to pass too. Crabtree is needed back ASAP.
No way we keep up with Drew Bee's in the Metrodome next week, and Seattle will have our number at the stick in three weeks. So that is 11-5 at best IMO. Another defeat and the final WC spot and 6th seed is the best we will get.

Carolina's offense was pretty poor also, especially through the air, compared to how they usually are. The sign of two good defenses. The Carolina DTs get so much pressure, then you have Johnson and Hardy from the ends, Keuchly and Davis....then rookie Klein and I think our safety got in for a sack or two as well.
The commentator here made the point that both sides were playing as if scared to make a mistake, which I think was true. Neither side really tried to throw it deep, as if they knew one big screw up could be enough to lose the game.
Like you said, they also said SF had four targets to throw at last year, down to two, now down to one. Carolina have grown their reputation after this win, and perhaps some of SF's mystique has been blown now. It will be interesting to see if NE put us in our place, or if the Panthers are 'for real'!
