The increasing use of the term “Made up” when you are pleased or happy for someone. I know it is well intentioned and is a good thing, but it just sounds like trying too hard to be cool to me.
I believe it is, or was, a Northern England thing that seems to be drifting south. Then again, this from someone who used the term “my bad”! Stones in glass houses comes to mind... |

Baby on board stickers. Or worse still.Little cutie on board. Mind you they work. I only crash into people who don't have them. Twats.

That Shitelink doesn’t have a 9 pm Portsmouth to the IOW ferry so I have to sit here for 2 hrs .........again

Don’t like moaning about health, BUT...sore throats. Two weeks now waking up every night with the feeling I have a golf ball lodged in my neck. I thought sore throats in the ‘common cold’ last a couple of days - piss off.

Black Friday.
Some sports shops are sending me multiple emails per day about their offers. Do they think we have short-term memory loss? |
Is anything actually cheaper than at other numerous sale times of the year?
I bought a fire stick for £25 yesterday on a supposed Black Friday deal but that’s what I thought they were anyway, pretty much. I think the out of sale time it’s increased and bought down to normal level come BF and the spring/Easter/summer/autumn/January sales etc. |

I have an Apple watch, and rarely use it apart from the occasional weekend. Not saying it's not good though. Have you looked on Hotukdeals? I also bought another dash cam as mine broke earlier in the year and picked one up for £24 with decent reviews, via UKHD. |

Just been sent a 50% off sports shoes link by one of the more specialist sports shops and it included an Adidas pair son wants/needs! They only had 3 sizes available, so my guess is they’re clearing out the end of some lines. Luckily, his size was one of them. |

Lazy leading questions in interviews. Example, Listening to the latest palace podcast:
“How important is it that wilf is now back to play against Man Utd?” DUH NOT VERY IMPORTANT AT ALL REALLY |
“Roy, do you get a buzz taking the team to play at old Trafford?”

Stuff like this just really upsets me. And no, I was lucky and not bullied at school (well not badly). The fact the guy is twice the size of the kid is so bloody typical. |
Things that annoy you

Totally agree IoW. This is way more than annoy, and deserves a thread of it’s own. I think I’m more upset than angry as I feel helpless. |

Apparantly the tosspot has been excluded permanently from the school. His mother was in court for racist abuse and his brother is doing time after going mental and beating up a couple of Halifax fans who were kids.

Looks like there is a fund raising effort to get the kid some wedge.

£35k raised overnight, nearly 5m views on Twitter. At least something good is coming of this.
As for the bully, he is about to feel the full force of the baying Twitter mob, has already had his address and personal details openly shared and school contacted repeatedly. |

I know I’m a woolly liberal but this kid (the bully) clearly needs help.
Abusing and bullying him on line is merely perpetuating the issue. What he does is awful but we need to ask why he does it. He’s just a kid and he clearly comes from a home background of wronguns. I feel sorry for both of them. |
Quote:
Yep, I saw people giving his address with instructions to set the house on fire during the middle of the night. |

Yep, seeing adults on Twitter threatening to kick the shit out of a school kid, don’t sit right with me. The shame is... the damage is done... with different parents he could have achieved anything in life. My money is on him being a drain on society and probably bringing up kids with the same ideals. |

Some of the reactions on here have been mindless. |
I think social media is all about playing to the gallery... trying to get more likes and retweet’s.
If the guy above you calls the bully a prick (which he is), the next person tries to trump it... before you know it, you have adults posting his address and people retweeting it, telling people to burn his house down with his family in it. We seem to live in age where people go to the extremes pretty quick. |

Betting companies that wont give you loads of free bets, even when you promise to lose all your money to them, never withdraw and match bet any winnings away into the betfair account. Could have both got rich, but no. Mr Anal cant see obvious sense.

People on faceache who are dismissing this with "This is just news because he's Syrian. White kids get bullied everyday and we never hear about it".
A few examples "Immigrants have been grooming and raping our kids for years and years and it’s swept under the carpet. Syrian kid takes a little slap and the whole country knows about it. Doesn’t make it right. Just pisses me off." "Everything is an ism nowadays white kids yellow ones brown ones pink ones all get bullied . The point in the first statement is the amount of press it was given because of them being Syrian ..... fact I know loads of white kids that are bullied by other nationalities at school who definitely play on the we are untouchable because if you retaliate it’s an ism or an ist ..... but I see no mass media coverage of that" |

1. People in a doctor’s waiting room who feel the need to chit chat. Leave me alone!
2. Being put in doctor’s examination room and left there for 45 minutes. 3. Doctor gracing you with 5 minutes of his valuable time before dismissing you. |
People who smoke in designated non smoking areas ie at bus stops and tram stops. Wankers.

The consultant surgeon who operated didn’t say a word to me in three hours. (Wanker) The nurses and the anaestheatist were great though. Ps. It’s not all about you Workshop.:D |
Quote:
Wow, 3 hours wide awake. Was that a choice ? I’d never had a general before and was very anxious about it but as you say, the anaesthetic and his assistant were great. I saw the surgeon on my way down to theatre and he was in his suit. We had a quick chat and he said I’ll see you when you’re asleep. All a bit surreal. Nice that you don’t see the op theatre when you have a general but different when you’re lying there awake ! Not sure I could stay calm just lying there for 3 hours. |
Years ago I had an op on my ‘old boy’. I split it having sex and every time after that I bled for England. Anyhow, I was under the impression I was having a local and a screen put up across my stomach so I couldn’t see what was happening. When I got there the surgeon told me he would be doing a general to which confused me so I asked why. He said if you saw me coming towards your chap with a scalpel you’d either punch me or run a mile. It was as much for their sake as it was for mine. Op went well though and no issues since, thank fook. Awful looking down and seeing a pool of blood afterwards.
