When I worked as a shop porter at Shinners yonks ago we would sometimes enquire of one another what were the plans for luncheon by asking "wotcher doin' dinner 'ime?" The 't' used to fall away quite easily.

The increasing use of the term “Made up” when you are pleased or happy for someone. I know it is well intentioned and is a good thing, but it just sounds like trying too hard to be cool to me.

I believe it is, or was, a Northern England thing that seems to be drifting south.

Black Friday.

I bought a fire stick for £25 yesterday on a supposed Black Friday deal but that’s what I thought they were anyway, pretty much.

I think the out of sale time it’s increased and bought down to normal level come BF and the spring/Easter/summer/autumn/January sales etc.

There was a small study on a range of goods from last year, something like 80% were at or below the Black Friday price within another 6 month period.

We went to Jordan recently. There were refugee kids everywhere fleeing the fighting. Mrs E wanted to adopt one but i'd scooped up most of the dead sea and thought we'd be over our baggage allowance.

Here’s a shocker: The bully is an avid Tommy Robinson fan (according to his social media).

Apparantly the tosspot has been excluded permanently from the school. His mother was in court for racist abuse and his brother is doing time after going mental and beating up a couple of Halifax fans who were kids.

I’d never had a general before and was very anxious about it but as you say, the anaesthetic and his assistant were great. I saw the surgeon on my way down to theatre and he was in his suit. We had a quick chat and he said I’ll see you when you’re asleep. All a bit surreal. Nice that you don’t see the op theatre when you have a general but different when you’re lying there awake ! Not sure I could stay calm just lying there for 3 hours.

Years ago I had an op on my ‘old boy’. I split it having sex and every time after that I bled for England. Anyhow, I was under the impression I was having a local and a screen put up across my stomach so I couldn’t see what was happening. When I got there the surgeon told me he would be doing a general to which confused me so I asked why. He said if you saw me coming towards your chap with a scalpel you’d either punch me or run a mile. It was as much for their sake as it was for mine. Op went well though and no issues since, thank fook. Awful looking down and seeing a pool of blood afterwards.

Apparently this surgeon has a reputation... brilliant but shocking bedside manner. (Twat)

It was what’s called an axial block... not my choice, numbs the arm from the shoulder down, but I was home the same day. Open hand palmar fasciectomy. Still can’t make a fist and bloody sore but able to lounge about watching the tele.

Need to get it sorted for some golf though.
