Indecisive talkers.

“So, I was kinda walking along the street and I felt like this thing came out of the sky, I think. Like, you know, I was kinda feeling shocked by what was happening, I guess. I dunno, does that like, make sense, or am I just sort of talking kinda weird?”

These people are becoming more and more common and it’s driving me insane.

Not if you regularly have to sign a contract which require multiple signatures in different counties fairly regularly. (Not me, someone I know)

Not familiar with any of them, but yes... American (or British for all I know) people who have to shout when they talk drives me nuts.

Cider is alcoholic apple juice and nothing else has anything to do with it.

Wow...never know there was a name for it. I’ve heard vocal fry on many podcasts, especially American podcasts, and found it really annoying.

This YouTube video is amusing, as the presenter of the clip informs and dissects the ins and outs of vocal fry, whilst at the same time does it herself on the video. Probably intentional.

I don't know why... it just annoys me. Especially when you know they have there own page. I bet they have joint bank accounts also, with their own account on the side.

Edit: I should elaborate... I mean start a thread (or whatever they call it on Facebook) so it appears to be posted by the husband/boyfriend.

I posted this on the game thread, but it seems to me that NZ got the same amount of runs, but loss only 8 wickets compared to England being all out, so should have won on that alone.

The fact that a Firefox Internet Browser update changes the skin/theme colours without giving you the option to keep what you had, or even change it back (there are other themes available, but not the one I've had for the last 3 or 4 years).

Why do they do that FFS?

Apparently they went to "Themes" at this revision. After a lot of Googling it appears a few people are complaining, but no one has a fix to go back.

As for contacting Mozilla, I think it would be easier to get an audience with the Pope.

Stories like this. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-49016151
A company gets fined 1million GBP because someone over the age of 2 is stupid enough to stick their fu*king head out of a train window. They should have been congratulated for doing their bit in stopping the idiot diluting the gene pool.

Hedgehog 17-07-2019 09:40 PM

I'm not sure if this annoyed me, or made me laugh... I was expecting a package, and I kept getting updates from UPS saying it will arrive at such and such day and time and to make sure someone was home to sign for the package, or provide alternative arrangements.

Yesterday was the expected delivery date, and I happened to be sitting at my computer which gives me a view of our front door though a side window. Anyway mid afternoon I hear a truck pull up, and next thing I see is a package flying through the air landing at the front door step. I go open the door just in time to see the UPS van driving off.

Now the fact the package contained flip flops is neither here nor there, so wasn't concerned about damage (the driver may also have known what was in the package), but the fact he didn't get my signature sort of pissed me off... supposing I had stayed home special, or skipped work or something?

Personally not sure why they made a big fuss about the signature? Maybe it was requested by the sender? Either way they didn't get one.

Order a coffee.

I just want a coffee with milk. Ive tried saying ‘white coffee’ and ‘coffee with milk’ but they always insist on saying ‘you mean americano?’ When I say americano, they always serve milk on the side and the coffee has been poured to the brim, too hot to drink and no room to pour in the milk.

They then forget the one stipulation I asked for: decaffeinated as they are too focused on terminology.

Nobody has said that though. People are raging about a company getting fined for breaching current HSE legislation. Mental.

Anyway, here is the report.

The window not being locked or lockable and the labelling make interesting reading. Especially considering legislation was changed to mitigate this sort of thing back in the 2000’s.

Cant be simple

Ask for an Americano over here and you get a black coffee. Still, we dont have many poncy coffee places in Spain as coffee is readily available and not ****ed about with.

According to a bunch of market research geniuses called Mintel, a quarter of the UK is drinking Ersatz-Milk :D. Based an extensive sample of 2,000 people (yes, 2,000!), 33% of 18-24 year-olds drink it. More vegan lunacy.

What a load of dangerous, ill-founded tosh. Have they proved yet from their extensive research if it causes cancer, dementia, heart disease or anti-social behaviour?

Mintel tend to get their facts right. I believe Sunny Fan works/worked for them.

PALACEWU 19-07-2019 05:28 PM

It's called a white Americano.

Stellavista 19-07-2019 05:39 PM

These sort of social media posts from people who want you to think it's just small talk, while shoe-horning in their latest triumph.....

'... that moment when a coffee and some Choco mini eggs suddenly appear.
Sustenance for kick-starting work on the new design for the International F*ckwit Awards.'

The astonishing mix of officiousness and incompetence displayed by the new bloke in my opticians. What a prick.

Some of us have milk allergies so I find the current fashion for veganism is really useful.
