Waiting time seems to go up and down very randomly.

nookiebear 16-05-2007 12:14 PM

I seem to be in the matrix but my waiting time keeps going up, not down :(

davematt 16-05-2007 12:14 PM

Just not going through! :D

Stupid site.

nookiebear 16-05-2007 12:15 PM

Your wait time is approximately 10 minutes

If you refresh this page or hit the back button, you will lose your place in line!
We'll continue to update the page to let you know approximately how much time you have to wait and
we'll tell you if we're able to find tickets.

Sorry, didn't mean it to seem personal. I just don't like the way these ticket agencies say that certain people have priority and then it becomes a free-for-all.

davematt 16-05-2007 12:19 PM

£90 tickets seem to have all gone!

davematt 16-05-2007 12:19 PM

I think my password is invalid as I keep getting the 'The page cannot be displayed' message.

Just to clarify postage - £4.95. Needs to be signed for.

I'm glad you got tickets, even though i don't post regularly i do come on most days since 2001 and know you are a fellow keen fan

Strathclyde Eagle 16-05-2007 12:23 PM

You a Fins fan Perky, or just of the sport?

Perky 16-05-2007 12:25 PM

The sport in general to be honest, maybe i should start following a team
Still in shock about the tickets to be honest

Latvian Eagle 16-05-2007 12:27 PM

Well I hope you all have fun! :sob:

Think of me whilst you're all having fun at Wembley!

BVB Bob 16-05-2007 12:30 PM

Got mine. Can't believe 2x£65 tickets cost nearly £150 in the end!
For the record - Block 502, Row25, seats 42&43.

That's another Giants fan (me) & a Redskin (MrC) going. I shall punch him if he cheers the Dolpins scores!

elliott 16-05-2007 12:31 PM

Can't believe the £11 P&P. Wankers.

£90 each for the two £65 tickets. Still better than a tout.

nookiebear 16-05-2007 12:32 PM

sorted - good luck everyone :)

Strathclyde Eagle 16-05-2007 12:34 PM

Can see there being a Palace/NFL fans meetup somewhere. Pre-Wembley tradition must mean Duke of York in Victoria?

Icy 16-05-2007 12:35 PM

Ticketmaster are shite! £4.05 charge per ticket + £5 to post the tickets! Lost the first lot as the wait time was 15 mins, then it logged me out after 5 because i hadnt responded within the 2 min timeframe.

Yes they seemed to have all gone inside 11 minutes. I wanted tickets in Level 2 for £90. There were £90 tickets on every level and none when I joined the queue again at 11.11am.

I got tickets in Block 524 for £75 by 11.22am. The service charge and postage is a right scam.

Strathclyde Eagle 16-05-2007 01:11 PM

But I now have my ticket!!! :lux: :lux: :lux: :lux: :lux:

Just hope I get to see Giants a-la start of last season as opposed to end of last season!!!!

(And a Miami loss always goes down well no matter who they play! ;) )

Grim Reaper 16-05-2007 02:33 PM

Just realised that I've paid the fiver for recorded delivery but probably won't be at this address by then!

Doh!!

Strathclyde Eagle 16-05-2007 02:36 PM

Being serious I agree with you. Usual Ticketmaster shambles.

Plus, even if you're being generous = 85000 x £4.05 = £344,250. You should be able to get a better web server with that amount of income for not much.

On a less serious note, if the Jets ever come to Wembley I'm buying tickets and giving them away on their opposition's forum. ;)

Quite a number of fans worried about other teams' supporters being there (judging by Finheaven anyway). I think it will be like the Cup Final, and most tickets will end up in the hands of the fans supporting the two teams.

Cant see there being many left next month and if there is it will be a mighty scramble.

Grim Reaper 16-05-2007 07:19 PM

Jeez, there's five days of selling in this period. Can't see many being left next month....aside from those on e-bay when people suddenly remember weddings they're attending!!

Strathclyde Eagle 16-05-2007 08:10 PM

When people are doubling their money on eBay you can see why they're doing it.

My guess is that the NFL tried to do some kind of screening, maybe looking up people who registered the same address with multiple e-mail addresses, trying to make sure they've got anyone doing this. The pity is that they haven't got it exactly right. Hard to pick them though - I was worried my saying I wanted to go when I live that far from Wembley would look suspicious. Still thanking my lucky stars that I got tickets.

Grim Reaper 16-05-2007 09:05 PM

Hadn't thought about the distance factor Tony, otherwise I'd have been worried as well.

That said, this is the yanks we're dealing with here - where the state of Florida is the size of England!

They saw you as one of the locals!!

LLCOOLSTEVE 16-05-2007 11:30 PM

balls, only single tickets available this evening :(

saxoneagle 17-05-2007 02:07 PM

Hope you all got what you were looking for! Anyone not getting tickets will have to get themselves across to America for a real match!

I notice that 40,000 tickets were designated for "UK and European fans". Where are the other 50,000 going to? Just the other global markets or will the "sponsors" get most of them like usual!?

Benzhiyi 17-05-2007 04:08 PM

Which would be against the data protection act wouldnt it?

Strathclyde Eagle 18-05-2007 08:46 PM

If that's true then I guess they can only target the people who are advertising tickets as block x, row x, seats xx-xx. Either that, or they're going to make mistakes and really annoy some people.
