Nope nothing but itís really really irritating. Guess Iíll have to go to the docs and get an allergy jab or something to determine what it is.

You haven't recently started taking blood pressure medication have you? I'm pretty sure the side effects of one I take is very similar to having alleges/hay fever.

No science behind that assumption, I just seem to have the symptoms all year round these days since I started with the meds.

Check inside your nose for any growths. Not intending to panic, but even benign lumps can cause continued runny nose.

Wife bought the tickets which were expensive enough, but apparently it is one of these sit down at a table places, and the ticket states, "You have to eat dinner, at a minimum of $25.00 per head". (Not included in the ticket price)

This is happening Saturday night, so I'll report in on Sunday... I really hope I'm going to be pleasantly surprised, but right now my expectations are pretty low... Now where is that Wilson Phillips CD...

Get a cat. It wonít shit in your garden, it will shit in someone elseís and it will stop other cats shitting in your garden

A dogs not the answer. The cat will just scratch its eyes out and it will never catch it anyway.

How about mini land mines a couple of inches under the newly dug soil ? They scratch their hole and booom problem solved as the detritus would land in the cat owning neighbours garden.

Relatively easy to keep the multiblades sharp. I use Mach 3, shave daily and they generally last at least a couple of months before I have to change it.

I'd be hard pressed to say they were even a one hit wonder over here, not that I understand what constitutes a hit anymore.

Case in point, the rap guy that just got killed in Los Angeles... personally had never heard of him, yet apparently he won a Grammy and sold a lot of records (or whatever it is you sell these days?).

Music is just so compartmentalized these days.

I googled.

Album chart positions 1990- 7, 1992- 6, 2004- 197, 2010 and 2012 didn't chart.

Singles: 6, 36, 42, 29, 18, 36.

Slightly interesting factoid- the Wilsons are Brian Wilsonís daughters and the Phillips is Michelle Phillips( of Mamas And Papas fame) daughter.

At times, amalgamating threads can actually be counter productive.

Yes, having umpteen Roy Hodgson threads is a bit of a pain to keep up with, but if you continually chuck them all into one big melting pot then you run the risk of of dissipating the thoughts/observations of the OP of the new threads.

Keeping GPD tidy was something I always looked to try and do but it's very much a balancing act and I've no doubt that there were times when I probably didn't get it right.

chateauferret 07-04-2019 11:39 AM

Amazon has a facility where it is possible for prospective purchasers of goods to post questions about them and hopefully receive answers before they buy.

Unfortunately, what Amazon does with the questions is punt them out by E-mail to any idiot they can find who happens to have bought the same item in the past. As a rule, the idiot doesn't know the answer so he replies to the E-mail with words to the effect of "F*** knows".

Amazon then post the E-mail verbatim to the product page which therefore fills up with answers to lots of the questions saying "F*** knows".

Of course many of the idiots don't know the answers but think they do, so they reply with some absolute bollocks which similarly appears on the product page.

This has been going on for years.

We went to this last night... I survived.

To be honest, it was a bit like karaoke night on a cruise ship or at Butlins. Kind of odd as they didn't have a band, but sang to taped music, which leads to my karaoke comment. Also they sang mostly covers to (understandably) Beach Boys and Mama's & Papa's songs, plus Abba, ELO and The Eagles. (I misunderstood the question from them about, "Are there any Eagles fans here tonight?" )

Strange crowd with a lot of older people (we fit right in!). Oh and very odd having to eat dinner in cramped/dark conditions, which as expected wasn't very good.

Won't be in a rush to return to this venue.

Last thing... I kept getting the visual of the photo of Carnie Wilson ME posted with her babs out... I can safely say you wouldn't what to see a retake in 2019!

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but every (and I mean every) time I switch over to Sky Sports News, it's adverts.
I appreciate around the hour, quarter past and half hour marks it's a given, but at 5.18 pm? And then you have to sit through normal adverts (mainly gambling of course), sponsor of the programme adverts and then the "what's on Sky generally" adverts.
I know, I know - get rid of it, but the Mrs wants to keep it.

Also, why donít family members or friends tell them to tone it down a little ?

Yep, thats yakky. I once found a toad in me trainer. And more recently a blue plaster in a bread roll. That made me annoyed when Tesco's couldn't give monkey's when I took it back.

I remember eating in my old local with a friend who discovered a box of Swan Vesta matches in his goulash. When he went to the bar to complain, the bar manager called the chef through who, on seeing the matches, grabbed them saying he wondered where they had gone and disappeared back into the kitchen. :D
