I mentioned the very same a few weeks back after listening to comments on the PTI podcast ... although there has been a mention that Jerry Jones would love to draft him ... but looks more like our first pick will be an offensive lineman after releasing the big man at the end of the season, Doug Free will take his place but need strength in depth.

He'll end up in the CFL, guaranteed.
Just like Doug Flutie.

Not long to go now boys, im actually quite excited

pauldrulez 22-04-2010 01:41 PM

I'm really excited and quite nervous now. It's been building up to this moment for months.

Anyway, this is the gold standard for mock drafts:

The goose's 3rd Mock. He's the best at it. Though I hate the Patriots pick even though I love the player. Not a need.

This would have been hilarious.

Report: Oakland Raiders Pass on Roethlisberger Trade

Quote:

Cross the Oakland Raiders off the list of potential landing spots for Ben Roethlisberger.

Shortly after news broke on Wednesday that the Pittsburgh Steelers were shopping around the Super Bowl winning quarterback the Raiders were rumored to be interested.

However, Oakland was not willing to give up the No. 8 overall pick in the draft for Big Ben while the Steelers were unwilling to throw in the No. 18 pick to sweeten the deal

I'd never have guessed ...

It's going to be messy

Fluffy will like this one.

A Jets' draft montage, watch the reactions of the Jets fans to some of the picks.

Ken O'Brien in front of Marino. Oh dear! :D

pauldrulez 22-04-2010 03:51 PM

I remember reading in a draft book about them taking a Kicker in the first round. And the reactions were hilarious.

Will have to watch that when I get home.

Be prepared for a lot of gasps and a lot of "Nooooooo's"

Must be a strange feeling getting drafted and all you can here are gasps of bewilderment.

With the 7th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select.

Darrius... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Heyward-Bey BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

LLCOOLSTEVE 22-04-2010 05:33 PM

Very interested to see who takes CJ Spiller

LLCOOLSTEVE 22-04-2010 05:47 PM

Can someone tell me why the Panthers are not seemingly going to pick a QB or WR? Tebow and his god loving family would fit right in down there in Carolina

pauldrulez 22-04-2010 06:02 PM

I guess they like Matt Moore. But, they don't have a first rounder so not good for them.

McCoy wouldn't fit them. LeFevour in the 3rd possibly?

jazman 22-04-2010 06:15 PM

Oh dear. Drew Brees is voted for the cover of the NFL11 game ..... best not draft him in the fantasy game then ... :o

:D

He's also announcing the 32nd pick of the Draft for the Saints.

Can you imagine the conversation:
Payton: We're drafting Tim Tebow, Drew. QB out of Florida.
Drew: WHAT? Yeah, sure i'll do that.

Walks to the podium.

Drew: With the 32nd pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select, Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri :D

I thought the Commish announced them or is he too important to go below the first round?

jazman 22-04-2010 10:28 PM

Ok here's a thought, name the one player that you would have loved to have played for your team ...

My choice? I think I would go for Jerry Rice. I considered others especially QBs but we have had our fair share of pretty good ones. We have also been blessed with great WRs in the past but I loved to watch Jerry Rice in action. Just a complete natural even though I had to act as though I hated him in the early 90s when teh Cowboys and 49ers were both string in the NFC.

He does the first round.

Then Ray Anderson takes over for the rest of it. And normally screws up a few times. Like calling the Rams the St. Louis Cardinals last year.

There's normally a pick by a random person, a few picks from army people and a pick from the Department of Fandemonium (prize winning job for a year with NFL). I think this is the first year where a player has done it.

I'm going to go for one current player and one past player.

And i'm going to do it completely based on Belichick rather than me.

Lawrence Taylor - Belichick feels that he is the best football player of all time. The ultimate Outside Linebacker. And a beast.

And now, Ed Reed. A true beast. The best defensive player in football. He has instincts like no other.
