Sorry Benny don't hit me but I was in Soccer Scene earlier and they had a Giants jersey with Manning on it so I just had to buy it! :D

Following on from the draft pick post further above, Vernon Gholston who is rumoured to be the Pats first draft pick done this.

Quote:

From Wikipedia
Gholston tied the Buckeye record of 13 sacks in a single season set in 1995 by Mike Vrabel.[2]
This may bode well for him being picked for the Patriots. Could that lead to the start of a promising career á la Vrabel

How much was it?
I've got a Brady#12 away jersey that cost me £33.99

Latvian Eagle 05-02-2008 06:36 PM

£44.99

Carolina Panthers schedule for next season. Finishing second in our division means we now face the Champion Giants who of course finished second in their division also! Tough set of fixtures other than our own division which is winnable with everyone back fit. Chicago, Green Bay, Minnesota, San Diego and NY though! OUCH!

Carolina Panthers
Home: Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Chicago, Detroit, Denver, Kansas City, Arizona
Away: Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Green Bay, Minnesota, Oakland, San Diego, N.Y. Giants

Pretty easy home schedule, I reckon. You should be winning 6 or 7 of those and with Atlanta and Oakland you should nail 8 or 9 wins, easy.

Easy, hey? :D

Would never pay more than £30 for a jersey. My nice Elway current style road jersey arrived today. Looks tasty.

My initial reaction was one of dread, but the more I think about it, the more I reckon it's a good assessment. It means we won't be clinging onto deadwood for two-three years. A roster overhaul doesn't always pay off, but when it does - look at the Saints two years ago - it can be really effective. Perhaps it's good that Parcells is already talking that way.

You'd think that but we only won 2 home games last season, and we lost to the Falcon's too! :o

Not a chance if the Skins make Spag their head coach :)

Skins will be 7-9 next year whoever is in charge.

And the Eagles will finish with a worse record than the Cowfins.

Class A tool.

Spagnuolo staying with the Giants.

I sense a Nookiebear-implosion coming on.

As part of my job I have to deal with some data protection issues so I subscribe to a weekly email newsletter, which this week contained the following story which I thought would appeal to the thread....

http://www.out-law.com/page-8859

The gist is that the Pats "applied for a trade mark on the phrase 19–0 to represent the 18 games leading up to last Sunday's Super Bowl and the victory they had predicted for themselves"

jazman 08-02-2008 10:31 AM

Watched Total Access last night who interviewed Romo and TO. It was quite funny to watch TO cringe when they re-ran his post play off exit emotional 'moment' to him .... :D

In all honesty, it wasn't a bad interview even if they were both fooling around somewhat. Just hoping that some of what they said is true and the Cowboys do come back stronger next season.

The NY Post reported that towards the end of last week. To be honest I put it down to New York tabloid mischief-making.

I suspect things like this happen in sports all the time, like Man U booking Cardiff hotels for that FA Cup Final they never got to. It's just when these things go public that people look stupid.
