Wifi died last night, otherwise I would have posted a huge sigh of relief that the Cowboys were through.
I thought we were very lucky, but just showed enough edge. Every season I tell my non-Dallas friends that the Cowboys don't get beat, they just contrive ways to chuck games away...ridiculous penalties, fumbles, interceptions, etc. Romo looked nervy last night and I was scared every time he got the ball. We were lucky that Stafford and co made huge errors of their own. The flag pick up was a huge incident, but I don't think it was that key. Both sides contrived, at times, to hand the game to the other team. I am just very glad that Lawrence elected, second time around, not to hand it to the other team. Am hopeful, as we are far better on the road this year, but still...huge underdogs next week. |
Saw a stat that Matthew Stafford is 0-18 on the road vs teams with a winning record...crazy. I was most amazed that Dez Bryant didn't get a penalty for running on the field with his helmet off in protest of the original P.I. call against Hitchens- Lions should be more angry about that. So stupid. Great sign, when down early we just stuck with the plan...kept running...didn't panic (this is all new from the players and coaching staff) and pull it off. Feel good Lawrence received a life lesson taught to us on the 7th grade B team. Don't try to take it to the damn house haha.
Haven't been this Cowboys excited in a long time...should be a great game next week...have a feeling the winner will lose at Seattle. Thank you defense for starting that comeback. 20°F next week is the forecast...dunno what that is in Celsius but probably cold. Ahhhh!!! I'll shut up now. You're welcome. |

Not many others will enjoy this Dallas chat ;)
But I'm with you fellas, a nervous Romo made me nervous. Don't know if it had anything to do with his back which is so, would be a concern going into Green Bay. The 'big' penalty incident was not as big as it's being made out as the Lions had chances after that to come back. They just blew it ... thankfully! As for this weekend, I just love a good underdog story .... :p |
Really interested by Harbaughs tactics vs Steelers
Went the 4th & 1 within field goal range and wemt the hail mary on 3rd & 1 both when they had the game in their keeping. Playing mind games with Pats maybe? |
Romo has made me nervous for the last 4 years. His lack of mobility is a concern and will only get worse as time goes on.
That said, he is quality and I dont think I would swap him for anyone else this post season. However I think that a QB should be high on the list at the 2015 Draft to compete with Weedon for starting QB in the 16 - 17 season. That or we find a way to clone Aikman from the early 90s |

Saw forecast is now 12°F with 5-10mph winds...still probably cold in Celsius translation :). Hopefully the more cold and windy means this is an advantage for the Dallas O-Line and backs. Hope Romo is less ants in the pants against a lesser defense. Think it's a coin-flip kinda game...2 defenses that fight but can be scored on. Though Romo has lost the "miracle-play" mobility he can evade and venture out of the pocket. Biggest game in what, nearly 20 years? Oz I will send you my CPFC fridge magnet if Romo f's it up in the end for me going on a nutter and being an ass before, and will totally eat figurative crow.
To speak on the mention of Cowboys haters earlier...understand it ain't all about the glitz...personally my introduction was from my Memaw whom was heavy into them when they sucked in the early 60's while the Dallas Texans won the AFL Championship before becoming the Kansas City Chiefs. It's just something in the blood...will probably never go to the douchebag stadium and can't stand Jerry Jones' marketing theatrics though he makes me laugh. I like the coaches and players and the heart kicks in when watching games. Guess I mean head says hate heart says love :) Not all total douche-baggery from all fans... |
Packers win 34-20.

Flacco > Brady

SKy and NBC useless.
Pats played 2 drives with 4 OL and either Vereen or Hoomanawanui as ineligible. Shows how bad the backup Guards are. |
