Everything I've ever read seems to point to Lewis being there, but not actually stabbing anyone.

Exactly my reading of it.

Difference for me is Armstrong's achievements were inspirational, whereas with Lewis it is his achievements and his prrsonality that I find so impressive.

Montana holds that crown.

I tend to agree but RGIII is able to lob pass to receivers advantage in the end zone where CK keeps it low and is more likely to miss the target or get intercepted. Having said that, what have they played, 20 games combined? :o
Gore makes Kaepernick a greater threat, and vice-versa.
I can see them destroying the Ravens somewhere to the tune of 38-17 possibly worse. But what do I know, I wrote the Ravens off 3 weeks ago.

10. A word for Michael Oher. His team-mates spent the moments after Ridley went down scrapping in the pile and gesticulating to the refs; he went over to the Pats player, and stood by his side, presumably waiting for word that he was ok. Good man.

Not saying you're wrong, but why would the RT be on the field during a defensive series?

Ben's right, Oher was there as were Rice and Bolden from memory.

The hit was only a few yards from the Ravens' sidelines.

Typical cheating Ravens don't get pinged for having 14 men on the field. ;)

Of course not. It's obvious what happened. His buddies got in a skirmish where they stabbed people and he did the "keepin' it real" role by lying to the cops. And good ol' Paul Howard decides to charge Lewis with murder. Why didn't anybody else in that limo get charged with murder when all the witnesses said it was his buddies. Because it was all a show for D.A. Howard to get on TV. Strangely enough, I got into a skirmish at the same place back in the 90s. Buckhead is much different now, but back then it was where everybody was drunk tank drunk.

The media whorishness of same DAs here is astonishing. The guy going after Michael Jackson was obsessive beyond belief.

Just strolled on the field once the play was over to check on Ridley, I guess. It was definitely him.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is being reviewed by NFL officials for possible discipline for the play in the AFC Championship Game in which he slid and made a kicking motion at Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed.

League spokesman Greg Aiello said Tuesday that "any play of that nature is routinely reviewed."

During the final minute of the first half, Brady slid to the ground to end an impromptu run. The quarterback had one leg raised a few feet off the ground and it hit Reed, who emerged from the play without injury.

Ravens safety Bernard Pollard has publicly complained and asserted the quarterback deserves to be fined by the NFL, which levies fines on defensive players for helmet-to-helmet hits.

Pollard said Monday, "If you want to keep this going in the right direction, everyone should be penalized for their actions."

He said Brady "knew what he was doing. It has to go both ways. Hopefully the NFL will do something about it. If they don't, that's fine. If they do, then that's fine."
That's a rich one Bernie.

In each of the past seven seasons, an NFC team from the division that played its non-division games against the AFC East during the regular season has wound up in the Super Bowl. In 2006, the Bears played their non-division games against the AFC East and advanced to the Super Bowl; in 2007, the Giants did it; in 2008, the Cardinals did it; in 2009, the Saints did it; in 2010, the Packers did it; and last season, the Giants did it again. This season, it was San Francisco. Next season, the honor falls to the NFC South and the Falcons, Saints, Buccaneers and Panthers. Any one of those teams might have a real advantage and shot to make it to the 2014 Super Bowl in New Jersey.
Anybody but the Saints!
