What about people who answer their phones in the pub, then go and stand in the doorway holding the door open while they have a lengthy chat. Why? I presume it’s to indicate that they’re coming back but it drives me mad especially in cold weather.

He built a garden shed this year, started in May and finished in Sept. every fking day and evening we heard some sort of machinery going. One Sunday afternoon at about 4 pm my missus asked him to stop. He didn’t reply to her, just threw his drill down and stormed off in to his house.

As deeply grating as she is, she's stumbled upon a persona (or maybe it's actually her real self) that earns her shit-loads of money. It's the people that consume the crap she and her management team put out that we should hold responsible. Take away the oxygen of vacuous celebrity and maybe she'd have to try and become a valued member of society :D

I’ll add to that places like DFS that had to start their sales in stores on the 26th. Couldn’t they wait to the 27th and give their staff a break?

In America, where Thanksgiving is bigger than Christmas, stores like Walmart are closed during the day then re-open in the evening for pre Black Friday sales.

Yup, seriously annoying. I recall some years back buying a garden strimmer. No mention that you had to buy the charger separately, I’d thought it was part of the purchase.

When I first saw that latter headline I thought it was poor writing. It gave the impression others did not warrant him a good send off rather than the plain funeral he wanted.

You've got a good deal, unfortunately I've just re read the terms and they will automictically update my contract in February although I'm going to sift through the contract later.

They want to change my 30gb £10 to £21 a month but if I go to the 3 App there's a deal for Unlimited everything for £13 ! Sadly it looks like they all want to ditch free roaming.

I’ve just checked my contract and nothings changed with regard to free use of data when abroad which sounds like a result.

Why don’t you just switch to that new £13 deal, or am I missing something?

Three Mobile just sent me an email that my present contract can't be renewed and they will charge me double for a new contract. This is also to get people off the free 'Go roam' extra that is not included in contracts signed after October 2021. Absolute W@nkers!

Smarty who use the three Network are £10 for 30gb - my plans for the kids they refund any unused data, they have Wi-Fi calling and roam as if at home for the EU.

For me having come from EE is downside is its patchy where I live but works ok and with WiFi calling means perfect at home.

While on mobile irritations my newish phone where they have got rid of the bit at the top now when speaking on the phone the sound seems like its coming from the speaker at the bottom not from an earpiece, ******* hate talking on it!! When my missus is on hers I can hear the full conversation. Nothing seems to use the extra screen space so what was the point of getting rid of the ear speaker

It misses out on the free roaming sadly. Its the one I'll probably go but I'm hoping there's a way to keep the free roaming on my present contract.

Trying to find a sensible PAYG SIM card for my father in law’s old age friendly Doro phone that only accepts 2G SIM cards, who only uses it in real emergencies. Took us a while to work out that the reason anything that worked off the three network didn’t work was because the phone was only capable of working on the 2G network. After many failed experiments we went with 1p (I think that’s what they are called).

The guy can get to grips with chrome books and tablets perfectly happily but smartphones seem to be beyond him.

How much does the roaming actually cost? I mean pre covid I used to travel overseas pretty much weekly, so it was all kinds of useful. But if say you’re using it for occasional travel is it really that much of a loss?

Apparently if I wasn’t on an old Three contract it’s an additional £2 a day in Europe, £5 a day in Australia and the USA to gain access to your data allowance.

I'm in OZ up to four weeks in year plus a few other places so if its a fiver day it soon adds up. EE has £10 a month (one off) charging but the most expensive tariffs, I have a dual sim phone so may look at destination sims as an alternative.

I certainly get 4G, I’ve no idea about 5G as it’s not available where I live.

They’ve probably hacked down all the masts.
