The make up of the matchups are known years ahead due to rotational scheduling. Once the regular season is done all matchups are known.

Your division H&A - 6 games
One division from each conference - 8 games
Each equal position in your conference, excluding the one already above - 2 games

Total - 16 games.

Simple.

All that is known is that the Saints host the first game on the Thursday.

And that the London game is on Halloween.

You can pretty much guarantee Patriots/Colts being Week 9 Primetime again. As it has been for the last 3 years.

saxoneagle 17-02-2010 01:34 PM

Plus the three usuals at home on T'giving.

saxoneagle 17-02-2010 01:35 PM

Most likely Detroit with divisional game and Dallas with a walkover game for America to watch "their" team win for once.

pauldrulez 17-02-2010 01:38 PM

Detroit are playing an AFC team this year. It's already guaranteed on that. And since the Jets played Thanksgiving 2 years ago, it'll likely be New England that faces them.

Dallas have an NFC team this year.

Anyone know why Denver had their T'G game reinstated, then taken away, then reinstated again in 2009?

So it isn't a permanent reinstatement then and the third "host" will be different for 2010?

saxoneagle 17-02-2010 01:49 PM

I always thought Denver had been the third T'g team in the 60's but appears not...

Yeh.

It's only Detroit and Dallas.

Green Bay, Atlanta and a few others have had a go since I think.

saxoneagle 17-02-2010 01:58 PM

Chiefs 2006, Colts 2007 and Eagles 2008 were the three hosts before Denver 2009.

2005 and before, just 2 games since 1969.

Guys, thanks for the info. I was about to book my flight for the summer and was trying to choose the dates that matched the Cowboys playing pre season at home.

I think I'll make sure my trip covers two weekends near the end of August and hope a game is held at Cowboys Stadiums.

I have just watched The Who's half time show again, simply superb, make's me proud to be English!

Swanny32 19-02-2010 02:57 PM

I have started enquiring about tickets for next season, the preparation has begun! Woooooo!

You can only buy single game tickets in the upper section though so looks as though we might have to use the over priced ticket exchange website to get better seats. Lucky im saving up a shed load of spending money!

I thought the show was fantastic as a spectacle but disapointed, just don't think they did themselves justice ... was good enough though ... great to see a British act perform though

jazman 19-02-2010 09:17 PM

By the way, those of you on Facebook check out the game Gridiron Live. It's basic but kind of addictive .... :p

Will the Bears get a new QB ?

Or is Cutler in for the long-haul ?

jazman 19-02-2010 09:31 PM

There are others on here who will probably have a point of view but I think yes as they took a gamble on him last season exchanging Kyle Orton. He faded dismally in the second half of the season but I think they will stick with him. In saying that the Broncos and Orton also had a poor second half to the season so swings and roudabouts I guess ...
